5.0Taliesin Preservation, Inc.(4.227 reviews) - Spencer Rules Temporarily closed - Closed until Mar 31, 2023 Spent 2-3 hours Architectural Buildings
Taliesin, the home, studio and estate of Frank Lloyd Wright, is located in the Driftless Region of southwestern Wisconsin near Spring Green. It is the name of Wright’s house as well as the 800-acre estate that includes buildings from all decades of Wright’s career. Its many wings and terraces reach out around the ridge of the hill, embracing the site and standing as “brow.” Taliesin was the residence of Wright and the valley was his inspiration and life-long laboratory for architectural designs and innovation. Taliesin represents the most complete embodiment of Wright’s philosophy of Organic Architecture. The Taliesin residence is the heart of a series of buildings that Wright designed for himself and his family members on the estate. Other buildings include: Romeo & Juliet Windmill (1896), Hillside Home School (1903), Tan-y-Deri (1908), Hillside Drafting Studio (1932), Midway Barn (1949), Hillside Theater (1952), and the Frank Lloyd Wright Visitor Center (1967).See more..

This 67-year old grandma took her 9 & 11-year old granddaughters and had a blast. It was a first-time zip line experience for them and they were not disappointed. Of great importance was the safety practices the Northwoods team has implemented....we never felt any danger anxiety. The views are great, plus you get a little "hiking" and rope bridge experience too. I'm sure we will be back in the future!!See more..
5.0Green Bay Packer Hall of Fame(953 reviews) - If you're an old timer NFL fan, you can do a lot of fun reminiscing here. Speciality Museums
Though I'm not a Packers fan per se, but more of a Bears and NFL fan, I really enjoyed my visit and would highly recommend it to any NFL fan. The Packers are undeniably a great and storied franchise and they deserve their own HOF. Come to think of it, a lot of pro sports teams don't have their own HOF, but it seems a good idea. As a 12 year old kid, I along with many American sports fans in 1967 watched the memorable Ice Bowl on TV. This game has since arguably been called the greatest football game ever played. The Ice Bowl exhibit was by far my favorite exhibit here and it brought back vivid and nostalgic memories. For that alone, the HOF was a very worthwhile visit.See more..

The Memorial Union Terrace is one of the most unique things that sets the UW-Madison campus apart! The location and view right on Lake Mendota are unbeatable, you won't find anything just like it at any other campus. Even during the summer when most students are gone, there are a decent amount of the stations inside the union open (ice cream, brats, pub food, bars, + more). We sat on the terrace on a few occasions. During morning/breakfast hours it is peaceful and serene, and at night it is a fun atmosphere to hang with family + friends. Love how there are water activities available right next door. Highly recommend!See more..
We had an excellent two day, one overnight experience with Danny in August of 2022. Although the change in weather made the launch out of Bayfield a bit questionable for some time, the guides made the most out of the circumstances, and we were able to successfully launch and partake in our kayaking experience to Sand Island. The food was plentiful and filling, and the group my friend and I were paired with was perfect. We all got along great, and everyone had an easy-going 'can-do' attitude throughout. I would definitely recommend Lost Creek Adventures to others looking to partake in an Apostle Islands guided getaway!See more..

5.0Riverwood Canoe & Kayak Rental(494 reviews) - Way more than you’d expect! Wednesday: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM Kayaking & Canoeing
Four of us got two canoes, and it was a total of $100 ($25 each). Not only did we have more than three glorious hours in this beautiful river/scenery, but our care was basically VIP on both sides of the ride! We were cheerfully greeted in the parking lot (where attendees remain the entire day - so you can feel confident in the safety of your vehicle). Took a bit of a ride (beautiful and comfortable ride) to the starting point. The drivers carried our canoes to the water for us. When we arrived at the end, they were standing right there to take care of the canoes. We just grabbed our stuff and hopped on the bus. We were immediately on the couple-minute trip back to the parking lot, without having to wait to fill the bus. The bus driver and those working at the lot were just as cheerful as those who take care of us at the start in the morning. We’ll definitely be back! Loved loved loved the service!!!!See more..

5.0Runamuk Rides(343 reviews) - Great fun and great service ATV riding Wednesday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Gear Rentals • Boat Rentals
Great Ride! The wife and I had a great trip going through the forest and around beautiful lakes. The brand new Kawasaki powered through bogs and tore through the winding trails. It was flawless. Jim took the time to show us some secluded lakes and some neat saloons while explaining the history and local legends. In addition, Jim spent an extra hour talking with us about the area overall. I highly recommend Runamuck for all groups or individuals. A great vacation value.See more..

5.0The Farm(331 reviews) - Lots of KODAK moments Farms
If you have children or grand kids this is a must attraction for all ! Basically it's a farm setting and children's zoo all in one. My kids love feeding the baby goats with the milk bottle you get on entry . Be sure you get there WAY BEFORE NOON as they usually cut the bottle feedings at noon so the goats aren't over fed. Tip: Family should split up on entry 5 minutes apart so you can get extra milk ticket ! Thank me later ! We normally don't buy the dry goat food as goats will jump on kids the minute they spot the milk bottle in their hand ! Make sure you got your phone camera ready and charged .as the action is fast and furious ! The goats will drain that little milk bottle in a heart beat ! There are chicken coops, Brahma bulls with baby, bull, baby kittens, and assortment of other friendly animals kids can pet. They even have a milking table where they let kids milk a mama goat to get milk for the bottles !See more..

This park was amazing! You can rent the cabin for $20 a night if you are considered handicap. Doesn't have to be a wheelchair only. I use a cane and am partially impacted. Anyway, there's a beach. Trails and water falls. They will give you a map of all the waterfalls in the area. Staff was wonderful and helpful. Park is clean. And the showers too. Loved this place. There's other handicap accessible cabins at other state parks also. We went to Bailey and the took ferry to the Island. It cost to drive on or walk on. I can't wait to go again.See more..
When I was here, there was one temporary exhibition and three exhibitions based on the museum's existing collection, and it took me a little over an hour to go through everything. All the exhibitions were very diverse and interesting, so I didn't feel like I was looking at similar things the whole time. Museum staff are all very helpful and friendly.See more..

5.0Pirates Hideaway(219 reviews) - Beautiful Day for a Pirate Ship Cruise Wednesday: Boat Tours
We sailed with Captain Steve and crew on Thursday, September 1, 2022. It was amazing. We tried to book it last year, but; they were completely full so we were so happy to have the experience this year while we were in vacation in Eagle River. The lakes are so beautiful and the trip was a great time. We sat on top with Captain Steve and it felt like he was our personal tour guide which was really awesome. We saw eagles, eagles nests, other wildlife and learned about the area in a "new" way (from the water view instead of the road view). We came back on Saturday and listened to a fun band and enjoyed their delicious pizza and specialty drinks. The staff was friendly, the grounds are beautiful, the boat trip was awesome and we would highly recommend it for all ages. Thank you. This was one of the highlights of our vacation. 5.0Road America(214 reviews) - An up to date icon. Auto Racing Tracks
Road America is a great track to race. The safety crew is simply the best. F1 would be so lucky to have this level of professionalism at their tracks. I race here 2-4 times per year and no other track has this level of safety. The corner workers are alert and the safety trucks are quick to get to the incident. The facilities are very good, for a race track, and they seem to be in a constant phase of improvement. They have frisbee golf, the roads are great for run or walk, the showers wake you up with the lack of hot water but so what. It is really a nice place. Plan on not eating there as the food must be low grade prison quality. Cook your own meals or go to Elk Hart. A great lunch place is “Off the Track” phone in your order and save yourself some time. 5.0Wildman Adventure Resort(211 reviews) - Rafting and Zip Wednesday: 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM River Rafting & Tubing • Adrenaline & Extreme Tours • Zipline & Aerial Adventure Parks • Climbing Tours • Kayaking & Canoeing
Dad and 3 boys, 18, 21 and 25 and we stayed at Peshtigo Cabin Pineview. We did Zip Line and Menomenee on Monday and Peshtigo on Tuesday morning. Great value! Peshtigo on single raft was my favorite, working the river for 3.5 miles and solo handling the big water; also a third less expensive than Menomenee. My next trip I am planning the Peshtigo 2-3 times on consecutive mornings and Menomenee one afternoon. The big rush on Menomenee was the same price I paid earlier in summer for flat water kayak on Rock River, so the value is incomparable, and will probably up the adventure and do the wild ride 4-man raft. 5.0Horicon Marsh(194 reviews) - Enjoyed marsh visitor center Nature & Wildlife Areas
We limited our exploration to a bit of the trails and boardwalk at the visitor center ... where we were able to see TWO ducks on the water. The young man at the desk was helpful and friendly, made recommendations. We drove a bit on the perimeter of the marsh but saw no wildlife. Maybe mid-September was a bad time of year for viewing.See more..

5.0Green Circle Trail(188 reviews) - Hike with Wife and Dad Biking Trails
First off, since everyone writes about waterfalls and nature - yes, it's stunning in this park. One of the few parks in Wisconsin with sizable waterfalls, and mature Northwoods forest around, this is a nature's gem that is a must to visit. On top of that, Covered Bridge inside the park is an attraction on its own terms. You can find books on covered bridges of such and such state. But those are mostly gone. The covered bridge in this park is one of the few left in the state of Wisconsin, if not the only one. It's in a great shape tooSee more..
Wow….this place is amazing! I’m very glad a friend told me about Big Top when I shared that I was traveling to Bayfield for vacation. Saw the Indigo Girls. Amazing concert at an amazing venue. Super easy to get to location, near Bayfield. Showed up to easy parking. Scanning of tickets on the mobile phone was quick. There’s great food and drinks that you can purchase once you arrive. The concert under the tent was spectacular. Everyone attending the show and working at the show was very friendly. You need to experience this at least once!!See more..

5.0Boundless Adventures(173 reviews) - This Place is the BEST! Zipline & Aerial Adventure Parks
We have season passes and go frequently. We love it! By far our favorite ropes course - we are so lucky it is close to home! The staff is super helpful and encouraging. The course does tend to get super busy on weekends, but you can see the number of reservations for each time slot before you go. Keep in mind people can be on the course for three hours so be sure to look at the number of reservations for a couple of hours before/after yours. There are multiple courses for multiple abilities. I usually stick with my daughter around yellow or green, but my husband does the more challenging levels. Since all the courses are built up, everyone in your group is still right there, so you see each other frequently even if you are at different levels. TIPS: 1. buy the gloves. They are cheap enough even if you are using them only once. 2. bring water. You will be surprised how thirsty you get. 3. Bug spray. You will be in the woods, afterall.See more..

5.0Wildwood Outdoor Adventures(162 reviews) - Road trip for a boat! Wednesday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM River Rafting & Tubing • Gear Rentals • Nature & Wildlife Tours • Stand Up Paddleboarding • Kayaking & Canoeing
My daughter needed a lot of driving hours and I have been eyeing a specific SUP (Liv2Fish) that is not found in many places in the Midwest. After some research I chose to drive up to Eagle River due to a couple conversations on the phone and great customer reviews. I am so glad we chose to buy from Jason at Wildwood Outdoor Adventures. They were good people with kindred spirits. We arrived late and Jason stayed after hours to get me all set up for the long trip home. My only regret is that the weather was really crappy and we were not able to spend more time. I felt like I made a close friend in the hour we were there! I have been enjoying my boat for over a year now and wish I lived closer to so I. Oils stop on and visit.See more..

5.0Wildman Adventure Resort - Peshtigo River Outpost(151 reviews) - Returning 16 years later Wednesday: 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM River Rafting & Tubing • Adrenaline & Extreme Tours • Climbing Tours • Stand Up Paddleboarding • Kayaking & Canoeing
The Peshtigo River Outpost's rustic cabin and campsite were perfect for my group of 9. We took on the Menominee River rafting as a group of 9 with a guide at 9:00 AM on Saturday and the Peshtigo River solo rafting at 4:30 PM. Both trips were phenomenal, tons of fun. The solo rafting is fairly demanding, especially in July due to water levels. I would recommend splitting these rafting trips into two days and doing another activity (Zipline, paintball, etc.) in between. I went on these rafting trips 16 years ago with my grandmother and had the time of my life, and this time around sharing the experience with friends and family was just as incredible. I highly recommend booking with Wildman Adventure Resort.See more..
