  4. 4.5 Lumberjack Shows (24 reviews)
    - We look forward to the show every year.
    Theatre & Performances
    Lumberjack Shows image
I’ve been taking the kids to this for the last seven or eight years every summer. It’s a good clean-cut fun lighthearted show. They get the crowd involved, they sell candy and cheap beer, it’s fun to watch, and the kids can take home a chunk of wood. The jokes stay the same, but the lumberjacks change every couple of years so it’s fun to watch it for that reason. We’re going back this June and very much looking forward to it. See more..

    - Fun for everyone from LARPers to ogres, parents and children
Spent 2-3 hours Theatre & Performances
A Gathering of Rogues and Ruffians image
I have attended this gathering before, and every year it gets better. More food, more vendors, more people demonstrating old and ancient ways of making tools, armor and weaponry, along with maidens, warriors, jousters, jesters, actors, singers, musicians, sellers of amulets, food and clothing; witches, warlocks, steamy-punks, tiny fairies and elves and everything in between. Live-action role players were there in abundance and I had a great time admiring their garments - everything from chain maille and armor to bustiers and corsets..... I overheard one attendee saying that he thought he would be embarrassed to be there in costume, but he felt right at home. A few days later I found myself researching costumes online. I think I'll probably make one for next year! See more..
