Unfortunately this place looked great on paper, but after checking in it was not so great. It is out in the middle of nowhere even with the golf course on site. The restaurant on site was only open later in the day and prices were exceptionally high. So for breakfast we had to drive 15-20 minutes to find a place. The room was outdated and had an ant problem. The TV reception only allowed for a few popular tv stations. We only stayed for 3 nights out of the 7 we were suppose to. I gave it an average rating because the view was pretty and it was a quiet place. But we will not stay there again.See more..

This is a good well-kept course with plenty of interesting holes, a good deal of up and down fairways, and some terrific views of Lake Superior. It's not a premium quality course, but for the price it is a bargain. It's plenty challenging and just a lot of fun. By waiting until a beautiful October morning we were able to play this beautiful golf course for $29 cart included. The condition of the course was perfect- tee areas, fairways, greens. After our round we were told that it had taken until now to fully recover from ice damage over the past winter, something that almost all courses in this part of the country suffered from. Regular fall rates are $38 which is a bargain but they offer limited times via email with even better offers. We played the Pines one day and the Lakes course the next day. We had a wonderful experience playing twice within the week at Timber Ridge. Yes, the greens are fast and pretty unpredictable... I wouldn't have it any other way! The staff were super kind as we were celebrating the life of our closest friend who lost her battle with Leukemia. They gave us our tee times 5 months ahead and let us go earlier then the scheduled time on the voucher . We felt the course was rich and green and challenging but not impossible. Loved it. This course was surprisingly easy to get to. Course offers a mix of treed fairways, and some open field areas. Some water hazards, some sand traps. A nice mix.
