4.5Oshkosh Public Museum(98 reviews) - Excellent Museum Wednesday: 10:00 AM - 4:30 PM Historic Sites • Points of Interest & Landmarks • Architectural Buildings • History Museums • Day Trips
This is a great museum. It’s across the street from the Paine, so was super easy to get to after viewing the Nutcracker exhibit. It’s in the beautiful Sawyer Family Victorian mansion. One fun activity is spying all of the Tiffany design elements in the mansion. There’s a comprehensive exhibit of Native American artifacts, including many spearheads, axe heads, arrow tips, clay pots, and other items. There’s also a simulated dig site, a birch lodge, and a birchbark canoe. The signs give a great overview of Native American civilization over the millennia right here in Wisconsin. We stuck around to watch the Apostle clock chime the hour. What a fascinating piece of craftsmanship, I definitely recommend seeing it. Another fun thing to do is check out Grannie’s attic, a fun hodge-podge of old treasures that’s sure to bring back memories.See more..
this was a great afternoon of history, food, beverage, and fun. the restaurant owner managers were gracious and attentive. Kristi does a great job of keeping the group moving so we have ample time at each location to experience the culture, art, and background behind the cuisine. Great value.See more..

What an awesome time! We did the Cranberry Immersion Experience and Rochelle made sure to get the right pose so our family could have cherished memories forever. Everyone working there is so friendly and knowledgeable. They are excited to share information about their industry. The way they set up their store and waiting area for tours is so creatively done. Highly recommend this experience!See more..
5.0Ridge and Valley Tours(16 reviews) - Snowshoeing the Vines and Tasting the Wines. Beer Tastings & Tours • Wine Tours & Tastings • Day Trips
My favorite part of this experience was being able to experience the beauty of winter while experiencing something completely new and different alongside my family. It was our first time snowshoeing and Teri Richards, our guide, was so patient with us, from helping us with our snowshoes to explaining everything we could expect throughout the trail. She was very knowledgeable with the layout of the trails and had so many interesting facts about the winery’s history to share with us.See more..

5.0Angry Fin Charter Fishing(7 reviews) - Absolutely highly recommend! Amazing in every way! Boat Tours • Fishing Charters & Tours • Boat Rentals • Private Tours • Day Trips
Myself and four other friends booked a trip with Captain Alex on September 3, 2021. We were extremely pleased, and will be returning next year! We limited out with 25 fish, and he was absolutely amazing. His personality, and skill level are unmatched! We have fished on many charters, and I can say without a doubt this was the best. Alex responded fast, and was extremely helpful. As soon as I stepped on the boat, you could tell this charter was in a different class. The boat was miraculous, clean, and beautiful. The equipment was all in amazing shape, and this guy moved like I have never seen. I highly recommend fishing on the Angry Fin!!See more..
I purchased a dog sled tour at Jim's Siberian Outpost as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend. Jim is a bit old school, no website, but they do have a Facebook page. Reservations are taken over the phone with only verbal confirmation. Jim did call me a week beforehand to confirm. All that aside, we had a fantastic experience! You can tell this is a labor of love for Jim. He rescues all the dogs on-site, no breeding. He did have three other staff there the day we were there, so they were able to run two teams, so we rode with another couple, one couple on each sled. You are given some time to play with the dogs and Jim will take the time to take about the sport and answer questions. We were able to schedule a reservation pretty easily during the COVID-19 pandemic, however, Jim and the staff noted reservation usually need to be made months in advance. It was a very cool and unique experience and another bucket list item crossed off the list!See more..
The Hotel was very clean and the staff were extremely friendly. The grounds were beautiful as it sets on a small lake. Very charming! The shops @Kohler are connected to the hotel, and have a lovely walking path above the lake. The Restaurants are a bit pricey, but worth it! So if you enjoy peace & quite away from busy city life this place is for you.See more..
We had a blast renting a Polaris RZR for a day and exploring the trails and seeing the beautiful Fall colors in the area. The trail started right behind the building too. The GPS map of the trails built into the RZR’s dash was a great plus. No looking at our phones or a paper map necessary. Dana, the owner, was extremely helpful and a fun guy to chat with. We will definitely be back!See more..

2.0Tuscobia State Trail(1 review) - Not a trail for walking. 4WD, ATV & Off-Road Tours • Bike Tours • Walking Tours • Day Trips
This trail is 74 miles long and runs through 4 Wisconsin counties. The trail ends are at Rice Lake, WI. and the east end at Park Falls, WI. The section we visited was near Winter, Wisconsin as we were trying to find a cabin for sale near the Rustic Lodge. We walked along the trail for a mile or so near there. I have to say, this trail caters mostly to ATVs and other off-road vehicles and in the summer is extremely dusty as it is gravel. As such, I do not advise walking this trail for the serenity and scenery. It is not quiet and not fun to walk on. Heavily traveled by noisy ATVs. Also deer hunting is allowed along the trail during deer season, so beware.See more..
5.0Silent Wake, LLC(1 review) - Silent Wake Kayaking Wednesday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Water Sports • Boat Rentals • Self-Guided Tours & Rentals • Kayaking & Canoeing • Day Trips
Silent Wake helped me learn how to maneuver and better my paddle. The class was taught by friendly, fun, and knowledgeable instructors. Even after a rainy beginning it was definitely worth it. I feel so much more confident on my kayak and can't wait to get back on the water!See more..
Fishing here is one of my favorite childhood memories, so when I had the opportunity to take my nieces and nephews on an outing, this is where we went. It's even better than my rosy memories. The kids and I absolutely LOVED it! The atmosphere is perfect: lushly overgrown plantings and worn vintage structures lend it a romantic, woodsy air and make it feel very natural, not like stocked ponds, but more like natural woodland ponds fed by trickling streams. There are several ponds to choose from and all of them are stocked with a large number of good-sized rainbow trout. For a tiny price, the owner gave us everything we needed in order to catch our dinner, and showed us how to use it. After a little while, he came by to check on us, gave us some tips, and stayed with us until we'd caught a few. When we'd caught enough to satisfy us, we brought them to the fish cleaning shed for the owner to clean (included in the price) and weigh (you pay by the pound). It was interesting, an opportunity to learn about fish anatomy. If we'd planned ahead, we could have then ended our day with a picnic: there are grills on hand for you to cook your catch. We weren't prepared, so the owner wrapped our fish up with big bags of ice and a booklet of fun recipes for home cooking. Tip #1: somewhat seasonal/weather-dependent and far away, so call ahead to make sure it'll be open. Tip#2: would be a super place for a birthday party.See more..
