The park actually has two bridges over Cedar Creek and is a short drive from West Bend, Cedarburg, or Port Washington. The covered bridge is a beautiful structure that provides a shelter from the hot sun, rain, or cold depending on the weather and time of year. The park is also a great place to picnic and offers great opportunities to walk along Cedar Creek from either side. Great Blue Herons and other birds often visit the park as well. It is a very popular place for wedding and family photos. See more..

    Swinging Bridge image
Visited the Swinging Bridge with the family (kids are 7 & 10). Glen Park above has lots to do- a couple of playgrounds, picnic tables, a splash pad (was open), and a pool (looked closed for COVID). The bridge had a great view of the river below. We took a dirt path basically straight down from the bridge to the river below right next to the 1st falls. The climb was steep. There is also a paved path that leads down to the 2nd falls. From there you can walk along the river to the other waterfall. When we went I think there was some extra water. They had gotten 9 inches earlier in the week, so a couple of places we took our shoes off to cross. Normally you might not have to. This was the first time we had been there. Recommend wearing water shoes and a swim suit as you can walk along (in) the river and swim in the water by the falls under the bridge. The area is really pretty! Recommend a stop to see! See more..

    BNSF Prescott Lift Bridge image
We regularly eat out in Prescott at restaurants with an excellent view of this bridge. If you are dining on one of the local patios, chances are you will see a train go by. The BNSF Lift Bridge is a vertical-lift bridge that has railway tracks on it. It was built in 1984 to replace the previous swing-span style bridge. The Lift Bridge is 630 feet long and the deck is 20 feet wide. The width of the longest span is 250 feet. It spans the St. Croix River, connecting Prescott, WI with Point Douglas, MN. When watching the trains many times, I have only seen the trains run from Minnesota to Wisconsin. On the Wisconsin side, there are boat slips adjacent to where the bridge makes landfall, and they are heavily used in warm weather. When we took friends out to eat in Prescott, one friend, who is a railroad enthusiast, really enjoyed watching a train pass by while we were eating! See more..
