4.5Downtown Farmers Market(77 reviews) - Exactly what you want in a Farmer's Market Wednesday: 7:30 AM - 1:00 PM Flea & Street Markets
Fresh, local fruits and vegetables in season. Meats and cheese. Baked goods. And, some of the most beautiful bouquets of flowers Northern Wisconsin can produce. This market, located at the beautiful Phoenix Park in downtown Eau Claire, is exactly what you want in a farmer's market . Clean and accessible, with friendly, helpful vendors, it's become a must whenever we're in or around Eau Claire on the weekend. Oh, stop by the cookie vendor. The Snickerdoodles are excellent!See more..
We stopped by Schartners at the recommendation of one of the owners of Valmy Happy Hour. Their pies came highly recommended. Get there early. Our first visit was later in the day and a number of the fresh items were already gone or picked over. We picked up some local items and made a mental note to come back. On our next trip, on our way out of town, the parking lot was full and so was the bakery case. They had several cherry pies and I appreciate they came in various sizes. We also picked up some bratwurst too and love that they have cooler bags to keep our stuff fresh. The pie we picked up was a housewarming gift for a friend on our way home. We dug into it and it was delicious. This comes from someone that isn't a huge fan of pie. If these were available on the regular, I'd be in trouble.See more..
4.5West Allis Farmers Market(46 reviews) - Local, Fresh, and Cheap! Wednesday: Flea & Street Markets
The prices are unbeatable. And there's no better feeling than supporting your local farmers and merchants who take pride in their food. Lots of the farmers offer free samples of the produce so you can try a little before you buy. I bought a large container of strawberries for only $4.25 and they were the sweetest strawberries I've ever had. They last much longer than the store bought ones as well. We also got to buy warm food and desserts from the vendor tents such as tamales and apple pie. The atmosphere is friendly and I plan on buying more grocery items from this farmer's market. I would gladly trade in the cold grocery store scene for the aromas of the fragrant herbs, vegetables, and fruits any day!See more..
4.5Princeton Flea Market(31 reviews) - You’ll want to check this out! Flea & Street Markets
As a child in the late 60s, we would go to the Princeton flea market almost every weekend with Mom and Grandma to buy produce for the weekend, and browse. In reading others reviews, I would have to say if anyone thinks it’s a small flea market or their experience is so so, it could very well be because of the weather. Many of the vendors are retired and inclement weather can be a factor to consider. If you pick a nice day or a holiday weekend you can easily spend hours at the flea market itself. Over the years, Princeton flea market has gained more tool vendors, T-shirts, sweatshirts and other modern day must haves. There are still plenty of antiques and collectibles available, homemade food items and vendors will satisfy your hunger and thirst. This is a great destination and the people are very friendly. MUCH to see and yes, come early!See more..
