4.5Lakefront Brewery(1.896 reviews) - Most entertaining tour we have ever been on. Wednesday: 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Breweries
On December 2nd, 1987, brothers Russ and Jim Klisch opened Lakefront Brewery and sold their first batch of Riverwest Stein Amber Lager to a neighborhood tavern in Milwaukee. We have grown to brew 46,848 barrels of beer in 2017 and distribute our products to 35 states, Canada, Ukraine, Japan, Korea, Sweden and Australia. Lakefront Brewery was the first certified organic brewery in America, the first brewery to produce a government-approved, gluten-free beer and the first indigenous beer using all Wisconsin grown ingredients. We currently produce 20 year-round and seasonal beers as well as our innovative one-off My Turn Series which gives each of our full time employees a chance to choose a style we've never brewed. Beer aside, Lakefront is also known around the country for their highly entertaining and sought-after brewery tours.See more..

It all started with brothers Carl and Mark Nolen and Brewmaster Kirby Nelson. Three Wisconsin born-and-raised regular guys who share a passion for the Badger State - its friendly people, bountiful resources, rich brewing heritage - and the idea that drawing on all of the above is the key to creating some really awesome beer. Our Tap Room is open Tues.- Sun. and our Backyard Bar and Patio overlook a 9-acre pond. We offer tours on weekends. We have free, outdoor concerts every Friday night from May through Sept, and other beer-forward events throughout the year. Our brewery is family-friendly. Leashed dogs are welcome all days but Fridays and during two events: Depth Charge and Dueling Pianos. We serve twelve of our craft beers, three varieties of gluten-free RE: FRESH Radler, sodas and water. Per state law, wine, hard alcohol and other beer brands are not served and cannot be carried in. We do not offer food service, but outside food (carry in/delivery) is welcome.See more..
Badger State has quickly grown into a destination production brewery, Tap Room, Beer Garden, and historic Event Hall nestled in the Stadium District of Green Bay, WI near Lambeau Field. From these simple origins the mission became clear to us early on: “Brew beer that brings people together.” For centuries families, friends, and even strangers have gathered over the communal nature of beverages. We proudly carry that torch today and onward into the continued future growth and expansion of our beverage company here in Green Bay. The spaces host weekly events, new beers, hard seltzers, and hard ciders. Food trucks and other pop-up events are common in every season. The tap room includes light snacks and a great variety of non-alcoholic beverages. Also features a dog-friendly beer garden and very family-friendly atmosphere. For private events, The Barrel Haus at Badger State is an incredible historic venue capable of hosting weddings and other events.See more..

Loved this little place! Visited on a Saturday and arrived just after they opened at 1pm. I would recommend it, because it got a lot busier. Highly recommend the Blueberry Train beer. I got a flight of six 5oz beers for $12. Not bad! They had free popcorn and peanuts in the tap house. Board games too. I really enjoyed chatting with the owner, Bill. He was really knowledgeable. Will definitely return next time we visit Eagle River. See more..

My husband and I had already done the Leine tour a few years ago and found ourselves here in late September. We'd originally found the place because of its dog-friendly patio but of course it was raining on the day we went. Inside is nice with plenty of seating and so many drink options! Beer plus hard liquor - I had a Bloody Mary made with dill vodka and horseradish vodka, and I picked up some lavender gin for a friend. If you're not into bloodies there are many other cocktails, mules, and craft beer.See more..

We were also impressed with the dog friendly atmosphere.See more..

4.0Petskull Brewing Company(19 reviews) - Good beers but expensive to do a flight. Spent 1-2 hours Breweries
I opted for a flight of various beers. I admit they all tested very good. I would have given a five tasting but they overcharge you when doing flights. The menu shows the price for each item. So when you get a flight they charge $20 and then you give a tip. The actual price should have been 4 times $3 and then 1 times $3.50 that totals $15.50 so I ended up over paying $4.50. of you get less than 5 selections them they won't overcharge.See more..

4.5Rebellion Brewing(18 reviews) - Amazing Beers and Setting Wednesday: 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM Spent 2-3 hours Breweries
I visited Rebellion Brewing on a daytrip after walking around in the Historic District of Cedarburg and in the adjoining Cedar Creek Park. Rebellion Brewing is a memorable place. The brewery is housed in the lower level of a historic mill building right next to the dam on Cedar Creek. The old mill race runs through the building, and we still see the water flowing from the turbine (not active) as we enter the brewery taproom. The taproom has historical and quirky decorations. The bartender was friendly and explained the styles of beers for my flight selection. Sat outside on the patio under trees; had fantastic views of the creek and the waterfall. The setting and building are truly unique and worth a stop especially if you want to check out beers. The patio seating is the perfect place to relax with scenic outdoor views. Great beers and a wide variety too. Rebellion Brewing is definitely a place to check out when visiting Cedarburg. The beers and the setting are amazing.See more..

4.5Valkyrie Brewing Company(14 reviews) - Small Town Brewery - Big Time Taste!! Spent 1-2 hours Breweries
Don’t let any preconceptions of the small town brewery fool you, the Valkyrie Brewery, formerly Viking Brewery in Dallas, WI is an easy to find treasure, and a must stop when you are in the area. Probably the biggest reason to check out this brewery is that Randy and Ann brew their beers in re-purposed milk tanks that are horizontal and not vertical tanks that we have all seen in almost all breweries. Randy is very happy to explain how this creates the flavor in his beers. I liked every beer I sampled, though I admit I passed on the black licorice flavored sample that was offered; though I’m sure that the beer will appeal to those who like black licorice. The beers with names like War Hammer, Chainmail Rye Ale taste as unique as their names. This brewery is worth checking out. Watch for the “Slow Beer” road sign on the street in front of this location.See more..
4.5Ecker's Apple Farm(14 reviews) - Great place for a fall getaway Spent 1-2 hours Breweries • Farms • Farmers Markets

After hearing rave reviews from our neighbors, we decided to venture out to try this spot. We chose to go at opening on a Thursday as we are trying to avoid crowded times due to COVID. The staff person was very friendly. We were welcomed into this barn on an actual 150 year old farm that has been delightfully redone to house the taproom. There is ample, airy seating indoors. There is also a large outdoor patio with tables (and umbrellas) for those who prefer the open-air. A built-in stage outside also welcomes live music on the weekends. The beer was solidly good. Our favorite was the Oatmeal "Snout", but we really enjoyed all the beer names that are connected to the farm such as Crop Duester and Pig Farmer Pale Ale. Great selection of beers with some summer and IPA variations. There are also guest taps and sodas available. Some snack food is available such like pizza and a really, really huge pretzel! This was a fun, country stop that is definitely worth the drive!See more..

4.5Rush River Brewing Co(10 reviews) - Industrial park taproom with long tap list! Spent 2-3 hours Breweries
I stopped in here on my way through River falls, being a big fan of their bubble jack IPA, I was excited to check out some of their other offerings. They must have about a dozen beers on tap and a few barrel aged options in bottles. The staff was friendly and offered some good suggestions for choices. They have 5 ounce pours for $2, so you can make a flight or two or sample just one and offer pints as well. Fun spot, has that industrial park feel that used to be what visiting taprooms was like, before they started popping up everywhere. You can also buy bottles and cases here to go.See more..

4.5Earth Rider Brewery(10 reviews) - Exit to Wisconsin on your way to Duluth Spent 1-2 hours Breweries
My wife, who is not a beer drinker, had enjoyed one of their products on tap at a local restaurant, so we decided to stop in to quench our thirst after a drive north from Mpls-St Paul. Mid afternoon, the taproom was quiet, and attended by two freiendly knowledgable employees. Great that the brewers converted an old neglected dive bar into a very attractive nostalgia trip--but the centerpiece is the beer. Tasted a couple of fruity ales (her type), an excellent IPA and an award winning stout (my types). They also have a smooth and lovely coffee ale that I would have enjoyed at another time.See more..
