My daughter needed a lot of driving hours and I have been eyeing a specific SUP (Liv2Fish) that is not found in many places in the Midwest. After some research I chose to drive up to Eagle River due to a couple conversations on the phone and great customer reviews. I am so glad we chose to buy from Jason at Wildwood Outdoor Adventures. They were good people with kindred spirits. We arrived late and Jason stayed after hours to get me all set up for the long trip home. My only regret is that the weather was really crappy and we were not able to spend more time. I felt like I made a close friend in the hour we were there! The Peshtigo River Outpost's rustic cabin and campsite were perfect for my group of 9. We took on the Menominee River rafting as a group of 9 with a guide at 9:00 AM on Saturday and the Peshtigo River solo rafting at 4:30 PM. Both trips were phenomenal, tons of fun. The solo rafting is fairly demanding, especially in July due to water levels. I would recommend splitting these rafting trips into two days and doing another activity (Zipline, paintball, etc.) in between. I went on these rafting trips 16 years ago with my grandmother and had the time of my life, and this time around sharing the experience with friends and family was just as incredible. SUP yoga with Lynn at Cedaroma was the highlight of our Northwoods vacation this summer! My daughter, granddaughter, and I enjoyed doing yoga on the beach every morning and then finished our trip with the SUP yoga on Saturday morning. Lynn is an excellent yoga instructor. She is sweet, patient, fun and accommodating. Practicing yoga on the paddle boards was difficult but there was no pressure to be perfect. It was a fun and relaxing experience. The view was incredible! After the class was over, Lynn let all of the participants row their paddle boards across the lake and back. This is something my granddaughter and daughter really wanted to experience. We feel grateful to have met Lynn!See more..

An amazing trip! We never did this before and it was such a fun experience. The staff were great and professional sticking around until we had the paddle boarding down. We were looking for a quiet, relaxing day on the river and Dragonfly Paddlers delivered. The route is calm and quiet, very easy for us paddling novices to navigate and with a lot of sunshine (be sure to bring a hat and sunblock). We saw turtles, an eagle, tons of dragonflies, and even a few fish jumping out of the water! The owners are friendly and welcoming and the entire process, from reservations to checking back in, was smooth and easy. I also appreciate that they took extra steps for cleanliness and sanitation during this time. My sister and I went on the Bark River Tour. We had a fantastic time! The kayaks and life vests were very clean. Jon was on time to drop them off and was waiting for us at the end. He also had maps to show us so we had an idea of where we were going and what we could expect. I'd highly recommend this company! The Bark River had a fairly slow current and curved back & forth making it fun and relaxing. When we got to Crooked Lake, we kayaked along the shoreline where we saw fish, birds and turtles. At one point, we tucked our kayaks into the cattails in a cove and enjoyed the lunch we brought with us. It was so quiet and peaceful!See more..

We went for a quick weekend up to Lake Como and unfortunately our Airbnb’s boat was in the shop. We were connected with Pierless rentals and had a pontoon delivered to our dock. We had a great weekend with Rick, Jackie, and Mitch on the Wolf River. I was nervous going into the weekend—I’m older and not super experienced--but ended up feeling super comfortable on the water and ready for more. We practiced major strokes, river reading, ferrying, peel outs, eddy turns, and running the rapids. Rick and company answered a million of my questions and accommodated me in every possible way. Once I realized I was in the hands of an expert crew, I relaxed and really loved it. My husband and I got a lot out of this class!! Looking forward to the next!See more..
I almost thought they were closed when I drove up at 7:30 in late Sept. Exterior lighting in almost nil. Great beer selection for the size of the place. Gent behind the counter was very friendly and cordial. You can get candy cigarettes, the sugar stick kind like you use to get when you were a kid back in the 70's. They don't taste the same, but it was still a cool find. I do not endorse children, or anyone smoking, but it was a fun throwback to find. Beer is about $1 more than I would pay at Festival, but always happy to support a local establishment when I am on vacay.See more..
