A nice relaxing visit to Driftless Glen in Baraboo, WI. Fab food (many menu items on the spicy side). Incredible desserts. We had brussel sprout app, hubby had steakburger, I had Huli chicken sandwich (not spicy although it has Siracha mayo). The Strawberry smash and Blackberry Old Fashioned were wonderful. Had a flight of bourbon, single barrel rye (much more open and tasty with a few drops of water) , and the S'more Rivershine (great nose but may need to right cocktail to make it truly shine). Even the coffee was excellent Highly recommend if you are seeking local tipple near the Dells. Also accross from the circus museum.See more..

This was a really neat place to stop, due to the fact that you can see the distillery, while drinking and taking in cozy the decor; which was on point for the Northwoods. I recommend doing a tasting of 5 of the liquors and then picking a drink with that liquor. The bourbon was phenomenal, but it wasn’t available to purchase because it’s so popular. My husband and I had already done the Leine tour a few years ago and found ourselves here in late September. We'd originally found the place because of its dog-friendly patio but of course it was raining on the day we went. Inside is nice with plenty of seating and so many drink options! Beer plus hard liquor - I had a Bloody Mary made with dill vodka and horseradish vodka, and I picked up some lavender gin for a friend. We stopped at Perlicks to enjoy a few drinks on New Years Eve. My favorite drink is the pineapple upside down cake martini, it is absolutely delicious! The husband usually tries the seasonal cocktails which I sample but always return to my fav. This distillery is fantastic! The drinks are unique, tasty, and potent!! The General Manager, Andy, takes true pride in making your drinking/dining experience the best that it can be. The two owners, Kim & Dan, are devoted to their restaurant and make planning an event at their location painless. We are in the process of planning our daughter's wedding shower at the Timekeeper and we could not be more pleased with their customer service. The food is outstanding, as well. My husband had the smoked pulled pork tacos and gave it exceptionally high marks. The ambiance has a historic feel with a modern flair- Very relaxing and classy at the same time! A fun experience that added to our day in Bayfield. We wanted to sit and enjoy a cocktail away from the tourist crowds of downtown. The Copper Crow was a great find. They have a long list of hand crafted drinks to please almost any mood. The Bloody Mary is top notch but really every drink was fabulous. With super friendly staff providing great service, we sat by the fire pit on a cool afternoon and stayed longer than we planned. And we liked the cocktails so much we bought bottles of gin and vodka in the local grocery store later in the day. Should mention they have non-alcoholic beverages there too. This was a nice unexpected stop. They do sampling here for a fee, but it allows you try all of their amazing products. They also have a full bar if you want to grab a drink and sit for awhile. No rush to move along and was a very cool environment. If you like vodka, this is your place. Theirs is incredible - no smell, no taste. Just a good, clean vodka for drinks. 10 out of 10 must visit hidden gem a couple of miles east of burlington wisconsin. deliciously awesome hard ciders, gin, brandy, whiskey and wines all made from apples and pears. We visited this new distillery (we didn't even know about it!) when in the area and just Googled places to visit. What a delight! Beautiful new building in Cambridge on the edge of beautiful vineyards. Super friendly staff and the drinks are out of this world. We have visited many distilleries and sampled plenty, and I can honestly say this rye whiskey aged 3 years, 7 months is the best we have had. It will be a staple in our home bar from this point forward. From speaking with the staff, you can tell they are willing to experiment and push the envelope on drink menus and new ideas. Final product from the still is 195 proof. They make great vodka, naturally flavored moonshine and a new single barrel that tasted great. Not open to the public, our group had a private tour of this distillery, which was quite informative. Death's Door is a small operation, but distributes country-wide. Mostly vodka, gin, white whiskey, peppermint schnapps, and a dessert liquor(Kringle Cream) are made here. The whole operation was SPOTLESS. No distilling was being done the day we visited as some equipment had been repaired/installed. Of course we just had to taste most everything! We were in the area to do other things when I Googled "what to do near me", and this place popped up! We love to visit distilleries, so we made time for a visit. We were welcomed warmly by the owner, and upon hearing of our enjoyment of distilleries and number of visits to them, he promptly brought us back to the production area for a tour. We have done several tours of distilleries, and know the process, but we had an immensely enjoyable visit with the owner and loved hearing his story about how he and his wife got into the business.
