We had an excellent experience. We had a group of 5 kids and 6 adults. Given the group, we arrived a few minutes late. The marina called to make sure we found the location and were on our way. This was very nice. When we arrived, we did the paperwork and were ready to get on. However, the person in charge was a bit worried given the windy weather and how choppy the lake whether it would be safe to take the boat out. Only two of us had boating experience and it was limited. And the rest of the group had limited swimming experience. Nonetheless, they got one of their crew to drive the boat for us (3.5 hrs) for a reasonable fee. It was a phenomenal experience. We will always be using this coming when we come to Lake Geneva. A group of us stayed in two of the 2 bedroom cabins. When we arrived, the woman who checked us in was kind and helpful. The cabins were clean and air conditioned. Each of the rooms had a bonfire pit and a picnic table outside. The inside of the cabin also had a table that was capable of seating four. The camp site has one outdoor faucet outside to use for quick washing of hands or dishes. One of the cabins had a grill, but the other one did not. We brought a small grill just in case we did not- that was helpful. The cabins do not have restrooms in them, so we had to climb a hill to get to the restrooms/ showers. It was a close walk, but it was not convenient if you had to go in the middle of the night. Overall, we had a ton of fun + a great experience. There is so many options for things to do on the property and we had a great time. The staff was helpful if we needed it. I would definitely stay here again for another fun filled weekend.See more..

SUP yoga with Lynn at Cedaroma was the highlight of our Northwoods vacation this summer! My daughter, granddaughter, and I enjoyed doing yoga on the beach every morning and then finished our trip with the SUP yoga on Saturday morning. Lynn is an excellent yoga instructor. She is sweet, patient, fun and accommodating. Practicing yoga on the paddle boards was difficult but there was no pressure to be perfect. It was a fun and relaxing experience. The view was incredible! After the class was over, Lynn let all of the participants row their paddle boards across the lake and back. Had an exhilarating trip down the Mecan River. Staff let us know immediately there were some rapids to maneuver, about a 3 foot drop, below the dam from the start point. Never having kayaked rapids before didn't know if we should do the trip. Decided to do it and so glad we did. Kelly, pointed out rapids on the way to drop off point and stopped, on bridge, to make sure we get thru ok on her way back. The adrenaline was definitely pumping. Some arm strength is needed to get around (or thru in my case) downed trees. Definite current but made for a memorable trip. To top off the trip had an eagle fly up river in front of us. The management here is looking for ANY REASON to grab your deposit and money when renting snowmobiles. The first ones we rented had the engine light come on from the start. We told them about it and they said it was “OK”. We left and within 2 miles the sled cratered and WE towed it back to the shop. No discounts, no apologies, nothing from the shop. Then we were charged excessively for damages on another sled, basically blackmailed Into “$535 or your full deposit $750” charged on their word only. Asked for receipts and was told to leave the store. Never received proof or receipts, just a $535 charge. Do NOT RENT OR BUY THERE! You have been warned. Still to date have not received ANY justification or receipts, just an extra exorbitant charge based on their word. The photo is us having to tow back one of their broken down sleds. We had a blast renting a Polaris RZR for a day and exploring the trails and seeing the beautiful Fall colors in the area. The trail started right behind the building too. We have so many stories on how our Garmin has sent us down a rabbit hole. So we ended up riding the GoldWing down Adrain Hollow road which is a gravel, mud, and muddy water hole farm tractor road. Sooooo we pushed the goldwing into the weeds and walked a mile to find out that nobody goes down that road...because there's a nice paved road rite to the spot where the water head is at....aaaaaaahhhhhhh stupid GPS. Haley was running the "Y'allbe Tubin" show. She was very helpful, positive, and a problem solver. We got tubes and twine and were in the river tubing in no time. We had a lot of fun!! When we got out Tanner took us back to the water head and offered to take us all the way up Adrain Hollow road back to the motorcycle...we were thrilled!! My husband and I made a last minute plan to go canoeing during our stay in the North Woods for vacation. Dwayne was able to make a reservation for us without a problem and rented us a canoe and shuttled us to our desired put in spot on the Border Brule River. He is a native to the area and gave us a local history and brief tour of the Nicolet National Forest. He also gave us a lot of information on other activities to do in the area. Really a great guy. He rented us a 14' canoe with paddles and life vests. He had us drop our vehicle off where we would be taking out so we could just drive out when we were done. We left the canoe on the landing and took our gear back to him. He is such a professional and easy to talk to person. Some resorts and small towns along the river can provide ice, food and drink for paddlers who take long trips on the river. A paddle from the last dam on the river at Sauk City until a take-out on the Mississippi River will take about a week. But for a trip from one day to week RIver View Hills will provide friendly and helpful canoes and shuttles. The sign says that it was founded in the 1950's, it looks like it has not been updated since then but then again I didn't go to sit inside. The staff was friendly and well versed in their jobs. The guy got us to the put in place safely and was pleasant enough. Our equipment was in good shape and their instructions were clear. I wish they had a little better facilities for changing out of wet clothes, but that was not a big deal. We had a great time at a reasonable price. Harpeth river is a nice relaxing float trip, no real whitewater but just beautiful scenery and clean river. They have both 2 and 5 hour trips as well as canoes and kayaks. We will be back.See more..
