Fun and Safe
This 67-year old grandma took her 9 & 11-year old granddaughters and had a blast. It was a first-time zip line experience for them and they were not disappointed. Of great importance was the safety practices the Northwoods team has implemented....we never felt any danger anxiety. The views are great, plus you get a little "hiking" and rope bridge experience too. I'm sure we will be back in the future!!

Not an easy experience...
My husband and I wanted to have a different experience with our 7 year old son, who has never zip lined so we settled on the Ariel Trekking tour, which had both ziplines and other obstacles. The staff was very helpful and infinitely patient There was a big variety of things to do on the obstacles. From the videos I understood we would go over bridges and other elements, but they were A LOT HARDER than I imagined. In hindsight, I would not have booked this tour with our son. For my husband and I, yes it would have been great, but not with a 7 year old. I would have done the ziplines only. My son was very scared on the first zipline, but by the second one, he loved it. For groups with kids younger than 10, I would not do the Ariel Trekking Tour. The course it difficult. We were also with 5 other people with us, a couple of who were having a very hard time with the elements (given the height and difficulty) and it took us 3 hours to get through the training and the first part of the course. Since we had plans, we had to leave and not go through the second half. All in all, we would go back because we felt very safe and secure with all of the elements, but would make a better choice on which tour we chose.
