    Well Worth Your Visit
Unfortunately, our visit was not during the most optimal time: it was raining and the early fall was setting in. It was difficult to get the full effect of the gardens under these conditions due to the end of the growing season and the rainy conditions. You can tell a lot of care and effort goes into these gardens from the staff. The outside gardens are free and you have the freedom to take your time and enjoy the plants, paths, and statues. Well worth the visit. We were there later in the day and we did not visit the indoor facility.

Repeat visits to Olbrich Botanical Gardens pay off
These gardens are worth visiting in every season. As a local, I seem to go every three or four months, and each time the gardens seem new. There are many "rooms", with places to sit and look, and meandering paths with sculptures which surprise you around the corner.
