We did the sunset group paddle and it was fantastic. There's nothing like seeing this area from the water. The horses moved into the woods before we got across the channel but we learned all about them and the other flora and fauna as well as the history of the area. Captain Mike is the best - he tailored the tour to our requests and went out of his way to make sure we got up close to some ponies, even in the very low water. His boat is clean and comfortable and his knowledge of the history of the island was amazing. The price for a private tour for the four of us was the same as I would have paid for four individual tickets on one of the other tours.See more..

We were staying at Lake Anna for a week and wanted to take a quiet trip around the lake on the water. Captain Ellis at Orange Troller was great. He is knowledgeable about the lake and area, safe, and eager to make sure you have a great time. We had a bottle of wine and cruised the water for a couple of hours. This was an Extraordinary experience driving this super outfitted jeep through the steep mountain trails, streams and major mud holes to the summit at Reddish Knob for a spectacular view! My husband and I have been married for 50 years and this was one of the most memorable vacation experiences of all time. It challenged us to do things we never did before... and gain tremendous confidence in our accomplishment. Took the Living History Underground Railroad tour with a group of friends. This will not be our last tour with this amazing group. The tour was unbelievably informative and entertaining. Lori planned our Disney trip and was wonderful to work with. She was very knowledgeable and responsive with any/all questions. We had a wonderful time thanks to her expertise. There was weather related issues which delayed our flight home. Lori was prompt even at 5am and assisted with our needs to ensure we were taken care of and safe. Will and Will made our 39th wedding anniversary sunset cruise amazing! From the time we met at the park until we debarked they made us feel most welcomed. Their knowledge of local bateau history was so interesting! And they answered all our questions. The food....words cannot do it justice! Felt like we had eaten an entire meal! You could certainly tell that Will #1 enjoyed singing and playing his guitar....added so much to the trip! Don't forget to let us know when you record that CD! Our multi day tour, The Long Road, has used the Roadhouse for one of our stops in each of the last four years. It is a great place to stay and you can also rent out beds if you are doing your own tour with a group. Wayne, John and their other partners, Mark and Ben VanLeewarden did an excellent job, gathering ideas they came up with while riding The Long Road years ago and did an awesome job of coming up with the idea to open a chopper touring company. Their expertise in motorcycle mechanics allows them to make any repairs needed along the way and they usually have a back up bike in their pickup in the event of a serious break down, ensuring your riding adventure carries on smoothly. They are a great bunch of people and go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome and your trip an event to remember! The Roadhouse is a great place to stay as it is air conditioned and after some hot summer days of riding, is a welcome relief. If you've ever wanted to get experience of riding cross country in a scene right out of the movie Easy Rider, without actually spending $30,000 or more on a custom chopper, this is the way to experience it!See more..
