Easily the best mall within a 75 mile radius of Richmond (no joke - no better till Virginia Beach or Stafford County). The mall is an open-air walkable complex that seems like it would be frigid in winter but is amazing and unique in the other seasons, of which Virginia spends the overwhelming bulk of the year in. The architecture of this place is incredible as a mix of Southern and Roman/Classical and really gives this place a comfortable, relaxed, elegant feel. The stores are plentiful and high quality and the common areas numerous. I noticed the common areas are also not carbon copies of one another but have a lot of unique designs and placements to them as well and often are in the form of courtyards. Great visit. Dont live in the area but visit every year. I happened to go on their anniversary celebration and they were giving out cake and chance to enter name in raffle. I didnt win anything but was fun to walk around and shop. Lots of great shops here. I had to walk to car to put bags in and then go back in for more shopping. All employees were very friendly. They get very busy so you may want to go when you have time to wait in lines and walk around the crowds as lot of people shop there. Cant wait to go back again.See more..

High rental prices, not quite big enough walkways and stores, and a general lack of interest have made this mall a hodgepodge of stores with high turn-over. While not horrible, it is not a quality shopping destination. Also, avoid the attached carmine cinema at all costs. Go to the Alamo drafthouse for a fun movie watching experience, just be sure to get there early.See more..
Tyson’s Galleria (Also known as Tysons II) is an uber hi-end mall with stores like Prada, YSL, Louis Vuitton, Sak’s, Neiman Marcus, etc. Over the years, this mall has been up and down with occupancy. It does feature some nicer restaurants, like Wild Fire. Overall, I like this mall and the stores in it. It’s also connected to the Ritz-Carlton, so if you’re staying at the Ritz, you can walk right into the mall from the 4th floor.See more..

They have cut staff so low that there was no one to sell us tickets. They eliminated all the ticket sales kiosks except for one. (There used to be four) The only way you could buy a ticket was to stand in line at the concession stand. One half hour later we bought our tickets for $16.30 for two seniors. Then we just waked into the cinema with no one watching us. We saw that you could just walk in the front door and go right in since there was no one taking tickets or even cared that some one could do just that. Amazing Attitude. Oh yes, the Virginia Center Commons Shopping Mall is closing for good in January 2020. A group of investors is going to try to build a sports stadium. I do not know if it will be in door or out door. Society has really changed over the last several years. The whole concept of an indoor mall is out dated.See more..
