My boyfriend and I went repelling and rock climbing with Lester in October. Lester was very personable and made us feel safe and confident in his abilities from the start. Little things like the “commitments to safety” he had us repeat in the beginning to his in-depth tutorials about knot-tying made us feel really comfortable stepping off the ledge once it came time to repel. The day was tailored to us and Lester was up for staying longer if we wanted to climb more. I would 100% recommend this experience to anyone visiting the Shenandoah area, and have already sent our weekend itinerary to some friends, telling them how great it was.See more..

We are a family of 4 and Rock Climbed with Andy last summer and had such an amazing experience we rushed back this past July to mountain swim with Andy...natural rock water slides, cliff jumping, repelling down waterfalls...getting to experience the park like you would with no other guide. Andy is very knowledgeable and teaches you about every aspect of the natural world around you. Andy is also very patient and great with kids, taking time to teach them things along the journey. The trip was excellent. Weather conditions posed a bit of a challenge but my climbing partner and I accomplished the goals we set out for: to advance our level of sport climbing. Our guide Nickel had a meticulous and methodical teaching style which we both appreciated. We felt safe at all times and Nickel instilled the confidence in us to challenge ourselves during the climbs. He is a wealth of climbing and outdoor knowledge. This was an Extraordinary experience driving this super outfitted jeep through the steep mountain trails, streams and major mud holes to the summit at Reddish Knob for a spectacular view! My husband and I have been married for 50 years and this was one of the most memorable vacation experiences of all time. It challenged us to do things we never did before... and gain tremendous confidence in our accomplishment. Shawn, our guide and owner, shared all of his knowledge and skills to create a comfortable experience... he's a patient and smart teacher. A must try! We started off our day with a safety discussion regarding climbing and practices to stay Covid safe. Alex and Matt answered all of over questions and were available throughout our session if we needed help or direction. They were an incredibly hospitable and provided great service. My 11 year old adores this place. She performed very well for her first time there. The staff is unbelievably friendly. The staff also responded extremely quickly, responsibly, and kindly when she took a small fall. They took time to answer questions. We can't wait to go back. I think my 11 year old daughter will love the class(es) they offer. Perfect for when you can't be outside hiking or just for a family fun day. Highly recommend!See more..
