    - What a great ride!

Bill (the owner/operator) was fantastic! Our 90 min trail ride was more like two hours. It was just Bill, me, and my mom. The ride takes you through the woods, up and down some inclines, and through a creek (twice!) Horses were very gentle and well-behaved. Bill regaled us with stories/jokes and information about the area. We were staying at the Salamander Resort but booked our horseback riding at Rockin’ S because the price was way better and the ride was longer. Highly recommend! See more..

We met Billy Bebee, who talked about Misty and what the island was like when she was alive. He had the three main Misty books for sale, autographed by him. He was very personable and amiable and ready to answer questions about growing up with Paul, Maureen and Misty. We really enjoyed visiting with him! See more..

The JBIT Ranch is a wonderful place to learn to ride. My wife and I just had the best time at our first lesson. Todd, Barbra, and their staff take the time to teach all the basics in a very safe and fun way. Add to this the well trained horses and great location, with views of the Blueridge Mountains and it would be hard to image a better place to learn to ride. See more..
