    Davy gave a great tour of the Northern Neck. I surprised my husband with the tour and he was thrilled. We went out at Deltaville, White Stone, Kilmarnock turning inland at Reedsville. We saw dolphin and bald eagle. Reasonably priced. Enjoyed! See more..

    I had done some web surfing beforehand. Things to do in the Staunton, Charlottesville area. Wineries? Shakespeare? Jefferson? Then I came across the Eagles Nest Aerodrome, located along the Jefferson Highway between Staunton and Waynesboro. How about a scenic flight over the Blue Ridge Mountains, Skyline Drive, Staunton? Frankly, I couldn't believe the prices. $140 for three people (all in) for one hour, $70 for 30 minutes, $105 for three quarters of an hour. A quick email to John at the airport and it was all set up. We arrived on a glorious summers day. While we were waiting for our pilot (a few minutes) John entertained us with stories about Carpenter bees and local history. Phil came then and we were away, up, up up, spectacular views. Phil was full of knowledge about the local area. A brilliant perspective on the world! The surprising thing was that we were the only ones there. Can't understand why more people aren't availing of this brilliant experience. See more..

    I treated my father to a wonderful and adventurous Father's Day gift - His bucket list includes flying on a sea plane and Sand Dollar Seaplanes made it happen. Our pilot, Steve, is extremely knowledgeable about the area and shared with us his wealth of information regarding celebrity dwellings, marinas, and lots of features worth knowing. Steve explained everything about the plane and what to expect, and his communication abilities enabled my father and I to feel safe and secure. Steve is quick to respond while setting up our seaplane ride. I highly recommend this activity and look forward to doing it again! See more..
