   Maternal & Paternal Grandparents joined Parents with children ages 13, 8, 6, & 3 for 2 nights celebrating our 6 year old grandson's birthday. Except for the 13 yr old, the grandchildren had a blast. The lodge and water park are well maintained and clean. Every encounter with the staff was awesome. The manager came out to inquire about the 3 yr old's allergies and personally dipped her a large helping of dairy free ice cream. The food we ate (hamburgers, French fries, chicken fingers, pizza and birthday cake ) was much better than we expected it to be compared to other parks we have visited. We were pleasantly pleased. Rooms were nice size. Several places for an Adult Beverage but $8 a beer snd $10+ for mixed drinks was a bit high. Everyone had a great time except our oldest.     Went to this comedy theater with a relative from out of town, and it is extremely tight in there. You can’t hardly sit and eat and enjoy the show because you are smashed in like sardines. In order to have some space you must buy the booth or gold circle tickets. The waiters some nice but others rude and you have to purchase food and drinks.     This could be an incredible campsite if some small changes were made. (Dumpster was overflowing with trash and trash was all over the waterline. Also, there was no easily identifiable number [that they pick up] to call in case of emergencies... Our gate pass didn’t work and no one picked up the number we called) Overall, the site was great, the ducks/geese and cat that visited on a daily basis were awesome. Our neighbors were great. The staff was great. I just wish, that with this price, we would have daily trash pick up, well maintained bathrooms and trash picked up off the water line. Just didn’t appear to be anyone around that was checking on anything throughout the day. IF you so stay here... Site 35 is the best... The park itself would have been fabulous if it hadn't been for a noisy and boisterous group of campers that showed up to walk the trail just as we arrived. I don't think the rangers had yet had enough time to clear away the fallen trees and leaves from the last winter storms but it was still enjoyable and a nice experience for us.
