    My wife and I visited Cherokee Park for a walk when in Thomasville. The trail around Cherokee Lake is about 1.5 miles of partially shaded trail. There were many turtles and Canadian geese around including young ones. The grades are minimal which makes for an easy stroll. Part of the trail is boardwalk over the lake. The part is bisected by a railroad trestle bridge which is really awesome to see up close. The only downside was the number flies and the lack of a breeze. Otherwise this is a great place for a walk.
