4.5Lyndon House Arts Center(24 reviews) - Beautifully Restored Home, Art, and Experience Art Galleries
We walked over from our hotel, The Graduate Athens. It was a beautiful building with well kept grounds. When we entered, we found that there were no exhibits open because they were preparing for new shows. The Lyndon House was also closed for the day. We were very disappointed as it had been closed the entire July 4th weekend during our stay and it was our last chance to see it. The woman at the welcome desk realized we could not come back and was able to arrange for us to have a quick tour. We were very grateful that the timing was right so that she could arrange it. We genuinely appreciated that she went out of her way to do so. It has been renovated very beautifully with lots of attention to detail and many lovely artifacts of the time period on display. Everything was well maintained and very clean. You can tell a lot of heart has been put into the Arts Center and people there are passionate about the community and what they do. Definitely worth a few minutes of your time.See more..
