Had a great day out on the water with Capt. Chris yesterday! I booked a fishing trip for my 14 year old son who is passionate about fishing and I am a complete amateur. I also brought his good friend along. The boys and I had an amazing time, and Capt. Chris was a great host and teacher. We caught lots of spotted bass, a striped bass, a big mouth bass and a big channel catfish! My son was excited to have a good "fight" with a few of the bass and the catfish. My husband and I visited Blackhawk in early March just before all this covid-19 craziness. We rented a mountain cabin nearby and fished for 2 full days. My husband has been fly fishing for many years and he said it was a “trio of a lifetime” .... he caught so many fish and had only great things to say about his guide, Richard .... these guides work so hard (be sure to tip them well) ... the entire experience was exceptional - not to mention Abby’s great lunches!See more..
We went fishing on March 28th with Jerry Kotal, caught our limit of spotted bass and had a great day. We caught fish at each spot we tried and really had a wonderful time. Some buddies and I had the opportunity to fish with Wayne a couple months ago. He had unmatched enthusiasm, a wealth of knowledge, and a extremely friendly personality. Although I had little trouble getting on fish with a fly rod, Wayne was incredibly patient with those who needed a little more guidance. His teaching was solid and he was adamant about folks learning techniques the correct way. One excellent quality about Wayne was that he was quick to mention his colleagues and friends who run similar businesses as a nod to their expertise. He has an obvious passion for guiding and fishing. I would highly recommend Wayne, and will be fishing with him again soon.See more..
