Been looking forward to visiting the cave for years! It is open to 5pm on weekends, and cost $2 to enter. It is in the back of Rolater Park, parking right in front of the cave. Inside it goes back about 30 yards, and the cavern gets about 30 feet high. There are one or two narrower crevices to walk/crawl into. The water leaves the cave and is available for filling jugs of fresh spring water. The whole park is great, lots of places to swim/wade, a playground, historical structures, open grass for games/sports, shade, and pavilions for parties. Perfect day trip from Atlanta. See more..

I love caving and this cave was a lot of fun. It was pretty muddy but that is all part of the experience. There is a good bit of crawling. Not too much climbing. There wasn't any streams to walk through. Good formations. Be sure to bring a change of clothes and shoes for after. I would go again. Make sure you get a permit through the Scci to go. See more..
