Golfers seeking a real test of their abilities look forward to playing 7,057 yard, par 72 Mountain View, designed by world-famous golf architect Dick Wilson. Tight, tree-lined fairways are characteristic of this true championship course. Mountain View was home to the PGA Tour's Buick Challenge for more than a dozen years. One of Mountain View's most intriguing holes is the par 5, number 6 where the threat of water looms over both tee and approach shots. This hole was ranked as the fourth most difficult par 5 on the Tour by USA Today.See more..

4.5Kinderlou Forest Golf Club(49 reviews) - Kinderlou is outstanding! Wednesday: 11:00 AM - 10:00 PM Golf Courses
Had to make a few trips to Valdosta area on business in 2008. Was looking for a good restaurant and someone recommended the clubhouse at Kinderlou. Ate dinner here one evening and took one look at the property and knew I'd better bring my clubs the next time, so I did. This course is massive. 7800 from the tips! Great flow to the holes. Beautiful layout in an upscale neighborhood. Conditions have been perfect or near perfect every time I have played. Clubhouse is great. Menu and wine list expansive and food is delicious. If you can make par on 18, you've earned it. That has to be one of the toughest par 4 finishing holes in all of golf. And the par 5 into the canyon on the front 9 is one of the most unique golf holes in the State of GA. Play here if you get a chance, you won't regret it.See more..

4.0River Pines Golf(45 reviews) - Terrific public golf course. Wednesday: 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM Golf Courses
While the proshop is nothing special, and the food service is basic...the golf course has it all. Down hill and up hill holes...par threes that take exacting shots. Large undulating greens....and thoughtful teeshots required to score...this beautiful course will keep you thinking. While other semi privates near by are pricey...this baby will not put a big bite on your wallet.See more..

I came here during the week of Thanksgiving 2020 all by myself. I picked this location for the hiking trail, lake, views, and tranquility. I got all of this and more. I rented a villa which is very spacious, but the walls are very thin. There are 3 rooms on bottom and 3 on top in the villas. I was in the middle room of the bottom floor because I had requested a tub. Even with this problem, I would do it all again. As a woman, I never felt safer. I was able to go walk every morning or afternoon, stroll around the lake at night, enjoy all the night life without worry. The service at the resort is top notch. If you travel here during November, the cotton fields in the area are gorgeous. You can also skip over to Vidalia and do some shopping at Mary's Gift Shop. I came back to Oklahoma rested and ready to go back to work! Families with kids - you should never be bored! There is a field for flying model airplanes, disc golf, fishing, kayaking, archery, hiking, air guns.See more..
4.0Old Union Golf Course(30 reviews) - Best Value Golf + Unexpected Sunshine = Perfect Morning Wednesday: 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM Golf Courses
We loved this course about 40 minutes from our rented Blue Ridge, GA cabin. Booked special Monday morning tee time and enjoyed lovely drive to this very nice (and growing) golf course community. Fairways, tees and greens in great shape…go off course or in bunkers (not the best.) Very playable front 9 for this double bogie golfer; back nine bit more challenging but manageable. Staff very amiable and fellow patrons sweet as can be (one of the foursome that finished in front of us bought my husband a beer for his birthday today.) Southern hospitality - I would say!See more..

3.5The Fields Golf Club(14 reviews) - Nice Course for everyone Spent More than 3 hours Golf Courses
I played here for the first time with a senior golfers' group. The course is fairly wide open, but hilly. Often you are unable to see the pin, which is a little troublesome to me. I liked layout and the course and will play there again. I found the people there very friendly. It is a little difficult to find, so check your directions before you go. There are signs, but they are not extremely large, so you really have to be looking for them, especially the first one. If you are in West Georgia, give it a try. I'll go back.See more..

3.5Southland Golf & Country Club(8 reviews) - well-provisioned venue Golf Courses The course measures 6643 yards from the back/Blue tees; however, it plays much longer due to the severe elevation changes on many holes. Most players choose to play from the Member/White tees, which play between 6039 and 6300 yards depending on the season. World Famous, Stone Mountain is visible on most holes in the distance and is a good barometer for the “break” of your putts-if in doubt, most putts break away from the mountain. Hole #18, a 512 yard par five, is our signature hole, and one of the best finishing holes in Atlanta. This hole will reward the accurate player who can negotiate a drive onto the narrow fairway, lined with OB on the left and a lake the entire length of the hole on the right side; and will dare the longer hitter to attempt a lengthy second shot to an inlet green, tucked over the corner of the Lake and surrounded by numerous bunkers.See more..
