  1. 4.5 Wolf Mountain Vineyards & Winery (489 reviews)
    - Not Our Number One
    Thursday: 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM Wineries & Vineyards
Wolf Mountain Vineyards & Winery image
Our least favorite winery of the trip. Lovely setting and the food smelled amazing but we were just there for tasting. Found the wines a bit lack luster and vibe just...off. They were somewhat busy so that may have been it. Did not really engage with staff, it felt more like let's get them through their pours and move on.... See more..

My wife and I stopped on our way home from a trip to Florida. We noticed the winery on our way down and made it a point to stop. We were not disappointed. The wine was amazing. And they had a great variety from dry to sweet. We were helped by Becca. Like the wines, Becca was amazing. She was very knowledgeable about all the wines and was able to answer all our questions. She was very personable and fun to talk to. We will definitely be stopping again on our next trip to Florida or sooner. See more..

    - Fun but Fast

    Chateau Elan Winery image
We enjoyed a tour and tasting during our visit to Chateau Elan. The wine was delicious and it was a fun experience. The pours were very generous so I would recommend not purchasing a glass on your way into the tasting. Taking photos in the tasting room and vineyard were fun though I wish the tour had been longer and more involved/informative. Still such a fun experience! See more..

    Crane Creek Vineyards image
Recently my wife and I along with our daughter, her husband and our five year old Granddaughter spent a Saturday afternoon at Crane Creek. When we entered the tasting room we were greeted by the friendly staff. Having been here many times we already knew we wanted a bottle of Brasstown Red (Also highly recommend Hellbender Red). Crane Creek has a wide selection of award winning wines so you can’t go wrong no matter which one you choose. Nothing beats enjoying a great bottle of wine on the outdoor patio while admiring the beautiful vineyards and the lake with the mountains as the backdrop. We also love the fact they are dog friendly and always look forward to visiting with all their dogs. What a great place for our family to just kick back, relax and enjoy some quality family time. Cartecay Vineyards image
Surprised a friend for her birthday with a day trip to the mountains. After lunch, we headed for the winery. This was my second time and enjoyed it just as much as the last. We did a wine tasting of four wine choices, enjoyed our time on the barn deck out for our first 2 samples, then took the others and a slushie to the patio for some live music. Weather, music, wine, and friends were all fantastic. We had planned to do a little vineyard hopping but stayed twice as long. I did take snacks, but they do have a small selection of chips and things to purchase. Both downstairs and upstairs at the barn, there are games (jenga, board games etc.) Definitely will be back again, maybe with the kids to play in the creek/ swing on the swings/hammocks. See more..

Three Sisters Vineyards & Winery image
Cute place. The wine was very good and the ladies providing the tasting were very polite and nice, but don’t try to take their “nice glasses” outside. They had us pour our wine into cheaper glasses which was very embarrassing for our group, who were treated like immature teenagers although half of us have doctoral degrees and PhDs. See more..

Kaya Vineyard and Winery is a rebirth of Blackstock Vineyards; located in Dahlonega, Georgia. Blackstock was one of the first and largest vineyards in the Dahlonega area (40ac). The unfortunate closing of the Blackstock winery in late 2012 paved the way for a complete renovation and re-vitalization of the property. Our future is exciting with plans that include a twenty-two hotel with restaurant, fifteen craftsman cottages, and an event facility that can seat up to three hundred making it the largest resort winery North of Atlanta. Both Kaya’s Winery and Tasting Room are built atop a ridge that is sixteen-hundred feet above elevation, and offers the most exquisite panoramic mountain views in North Georgia. Carrying over into the tasting room boasted by twelve foot windows, Edison light bulbs hanging from the ceiling, reclaimed wood, and concrete makes looking over the Appalachian Mountains a fantasy. Want to be outside enjoy the cool summer breezes on our two-thousand square-foot covered deck with live music and most importantly some wine. All of Kaya wines are made exclusively from estate grown grapes produced from our property. The Werkheiser family believes that wine is made in the vineyard, and our wines represent specific grown styles to fulfill their particular niche. Our vineyards are planted with classic European varieties as well as some from Italian and some from the Americas. All of our grapes are hand harvested and gently processed in our facility we call this the “art of wine”. Thou our techniques are meticulous and but real secret lies in the management of the vineyard, this is were Ariel shines producing wonderful fruit to turn into wine. After harvest the wine goes to the temperature and humidity controlled barrel room is the perfect environment for the slow and traditional integration of flavor and aroma between the wood and fruit. Serenity Cellars image
I'm glad I waited a couple of days before I wrote my review. This was our first tasting in GA, having been to the WA,OR,CA before for tastings, and this felt like a similar experience. Unfortunately this is more the exception over here than the norm. It was $16 for 6 tastings which is very reasonable and the wines were all very good, we could easily buy at least 4 of them, but the Contentment was probably the best. The best part of the experience were the staff, both ladies told us about the wine and you could tell they cared about the wine and our enjoyment. We sat outside and they brought the next wine out to you. It was a very personal experience and the grounds were beautiful. We then went on to Yonah for a tasting but wish we had stayed there and enjoyed a bottle. We plan going back on Friday to enjoy a bottle. See more..
  22. 5.0 Odom Springs Vineyards (105 reviews)
    - Outstanding

    Odom Springs Vineyards image
Recently I had the opportunity to visit this winery during a girls vacation week. This being my first time in the Blue Ridge area we were unsure which winery to visit but we ended up choosing Odom Springs Vineyard. From the moment Shari the owner spoke to us I new we were just where we needed to be. The wine tasting was fun & delicious but Shari's warm, comical personality made it a hit. There were 10 ladies in all & Shari did an outstanding job with us, she molded herself to appease and ensure that everyone had a great time. She is very knowledgeable & explained the grapes used, flavors to expect & how the wine was named as well as some family history. Locals stopped by to say hi and enjoy some wine. When we left it felt like we had know her a lifetime. We will be returning to enjoy and purchase more of their tasty wine. Homemade Sin is my wine of choice hands down!!! Thanks again Shari See more..

    Butterducks Winery image
This was hands down our favorite place we visited during our Bachelorette Party. To state the obvious, the wine was AMAZING (and very well valued). We all ended up enjoying the semi-sweet flight, especially the wines with peach notes. But what really set this place apart was the service. The owners, Bill and Barbara, offered a very personal experience. We loved getting to know them and seeing how passionate they were about their little winery. They went above and beyond to make sure we were having a good time, keeping us hydrated with waters and even hauling out a huge fan(!!) to keep us cool while we enjoyed being outside. Incredible. Chivalry isn't dead! Shop local. Support this little place! We would have loved to stay longer. Thanks, Bill and Barbara for an unforgettable afternoon. We will be sure to return next time we are in the area. See more..

Farmer's Daughter Vineyards & Tasting Room image
My daughter and I woke up in Thomasville to a closed downtown! It was a Sunday so I guess that's the reason? Disappointed because it was so charming with the beautiful cobblestone roads and lovely stores. Lucky for us, the one place that was open was Farmer's Daughter Tasting Room. Made our day:). Jennifer the hostess was adorable, friendly and knowledgeable. We had the special of the day, a fruity delicious Sangria. Ott Family Farms and Vinyard is a wonderful small town farm and winery in North Georgia that overlooks the Appalachian Mountains. The staff are professional and friendly and offer a great wine tasting experience. They offer live music, food trucks, hors d'oeuvre, and an assortment of wine-themed merchandise and jams. The bathrooms are exceptionally clean and homey. The main building is a log cabin themed and is rather cozy and welcoming. The wines are delicious ( I recommend the Summer Peach Wine) and the back of the building offer picturesque views of the Vinyard and mountains. I would recommend visiting at least once if you get the chance! If you do visit, make sure you ask for Kelly! :) My only concerns or remarks are that they have a limited wine selection and the time I visited (July, 2020) they didn’t follow COVID-19 regulations in regards to social distancing standards and wearing of face masks within the main building. But other than that, it was a wonderful experience! See more..

We took a trip on a Friday afternoon and were pleasantly surprised. The tasting room was hosted by Yvette who was truly inspired by the vineyard and most proud to be its spokesperson. She prepared a small cheese plate for my wife and I and took us step by step thru the process of growing the grape, showed us the tanks for fermentation and described the bottling process all which she has participated. We were told this was the only vineyard that bottles ONLY the grapes grown on this vineyard. We tasted 5 wonderful wines and actually purchased 6 bottles. For a day without any real expectations this turned out to be a real star. We understand this is not California or European wine country, but it was a definite pleasure to discover a wonderful taste that is so local. We will return. See more..

Our first Vineyard will be planted March of 2016. We have 3 Georgia Grown Wines (The Naked Apple, The Naked Blueberry, and Blanc du Bios). All other wines are made from California grown grapes. The muscadine grape makes for a unique wine tasting experience. The young lady in the tasting room gave us excellent, informative insight into relatively new creation of their wines. Acquired a bottle of their red aged in bourbon casks. The wine “ slushies” would be grand on a hot day. A very nice location. Worth the trip! See more..

Heard about this place as a possible site to visit for our upcoming family reunion. Have driven by the turnoff road for years and didn't even notice the sign! We have been missing out. This is a fun place to visit. A working winery and distillery is quite interesting. Free samples of various muscadine grape wines. The also make and sell muscadine whiskies, vodkas and brandies. They have a well stocked gift shop with lots of tasty treats and the friendliest staff in South Georgia. We had a very nice and informative tour of their operation. Also striking was the acres of grapevines. Couldn't more highly recommend for a great day trip when traveling through this area! See more..
