    The purposes of North Georgia Live Steamers (NGLS) is to provide a forum to display and operate model trains, associate with other model rail enthusiasts and promote the history and virtues of railroads to the general public. To facilitate this purpose, NGLS will build a model railroad complete with stations, switches, signals, and other equipment necessary to maintain realistic railroad operations.     This is a brand new railway park that is located at the confluence of three railroads, CSX, Norfolk Southern and the Heart of Georgia Railroad. The new viewing platform is well equipped with bathrooms, benches and outdoor ceiling fans to keep the air moving even on hot summer afternoons. The park has a series of historical placards that details the history of the railways in conjunction with the city of Cordele's history. It is well lit and there is plenty of parking. The platform has a 2 (two) VRF (Virtual Rail Fan) Cameras on the building which runs 24 hours a day. VRF railfans con come and be seen on camera by their friends across the country and the world. There is plenty of railway traffic between the there railroads to keep every type of viewer happy. There might even be the occasional wave and horn blowing by passing engineers. See more..
