    Great trip to Savannah
We had a wonderful trip to Savannah last May. Stayed for 6 days at the Marriott Savannah Riverfront, the hotel was very nice, staff was great and the hotel was located right on the river with most things in walking distance. Savannah was very nice, as we walked the historic district and along Jones Street, saw ALL the squares and Forsyth Park, went to the cemetery, went to city market and the Prohibition Museum. Went up and down River Street most days, seeing the stores, shops and bars and restaurants. Had lunch on the riverboat, the Georgia Queen, took a Ghost and Gravestone Tour, and hit just about every rooftop bar. Had the best peach cobbler at the Peach Cobbler Factory and had some great ice cream at Leopold's Ice Cream Shop. One the best parts of the trip was the breakfast and dinners. Ate at Two Cracked Eggs and had the biscuits and gravy, which were delicious. Had dinner at The Pirate's House, ordered the fried green tomatoes and the Honey Pecan fried chicken, both were amazing. We also ate dinner at Alligator Soul one night, wish we went another night because it was fantastic. I ordered the alligator mac and cheese as an appetizer, it was awesome. For dinner, I tried the antelope, absolutely delicious. Alligator Soul is a must if you visit Savannah! We will definitely be back to Savannah in the future, it's a wonderful city with so much to see and do, and full of history.

    Amazing history, welcoming city!
Savannah’s charm is for everyone! Strolling around the historic district is enjoyable, no matter your agenda. Spend an afternoon in any of the squares. If you sit on a bench for a while, you’re guaranteed some excellent people watching! The historic homes are breathtaking. The city is easy to navigate. Signage is excellent. You can opt to pay for house tours, but don’t feel bad if you’re on a budget, you’ll get a good feel for the city too! There are several apps you can download with self-guided walking tours, like gpsmycity. Don’t miss Savannah! The charm, romantic Spanish moss and storied history will draw you in!
