5.0Go West Tours(6.231 reviews) - Great job Friday: 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM Walking Tours • Sightseeing Tours • Nature & Wildlife Tours • Wine Tours & Tastings • Day Trips
Went to the Philip island tour on the 21st of Nov 2022. Our tour guide Graeme was the sweetest guide ever. Very detailed on the tour explanations. Also did make us have a good laugh with his koala song and what made me felt warm was that he would try his best to drop the female customers traveling alone to their nearest hotel location instead of the normal pick up point if it’s too far to ensure their safety. That’s a great plus point and we all loved his guide.See more..
5.0Walk 91(121 reviews) - A great experience on the Great Ocean Walk Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM Walking Tours • Eco Tours • Hiking & Camping Tours • Nature & Wildlife Tours
What a wonderful walk! A group of six of us just completed the Great Ocean Walk in five days with Walk91. The booking process was straightforward and the trip itself was fantastic. Walk91 booked us into the Cape Otway lighthouse for two nights and By Moonlight for two nights. Both were great - we especially enjoyed staying at the lighthouse. The service was friendly and efficient, with our bags and food delivered to the accommodation and our pick ups and drop offs organised without a hitch. Food was generous and delicious. Would definitely recommend Walk91 for the Great Ocean Walk.See more..
5.0Budj Bim Cultural Landscape Tourism(75 reviews) - An experience not to be missed Friday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Walking Tours • Private Tours • Food Tours • Bus Tours • Day Trips
We visited Tae Rak aquaculture centre last week joined the morning guided walk with Jaydn. This was a wonderful experience and so enlightening to learn about the sophisticated aquaculture techniques developed over thousands of years by the local indigenous people. The remains of their carefully constructed stone houses is also remarkable, as is the story of the life cycle of the short fined Eel. Jaydn is a natural storyteller. This is an experience not to be missed. The food provided by the cafe there is also top quality.See more..
The walk is easy to follow, but not over burdened with signage that distracts from the core business - being in the midst of a wild and beautiful environment. I walked a section from the petrified forest back around the point towards the seal colonies at night - I wouldn't recommend this to people with high anxiety or particularly poor night vision, but for a sensible middle-fifties reasonably fit woman it was completely safe and incredibly peaceful. Look out for echidnas, wallabies are plentiful, bird life is gorgeous and the view out to sea enchanting. See more..
4.5Budj Bim Tours(25 reviews) - Definitely worth doing this tour Friday: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM Walking Tours • Nature & Wildlife Tours
We were travelling the Great Ocean Road and are interested in indigenous Australian culture and history, so found this tour. It's well worth it. Our guide Colleen and daughter Nicky gave us a lot of really good information about the lifestyle of the local indigenous people, harvesting eels and native plants etc. They also generously shared their families stories with us, and parts of their culture like totems, indigenous names of animals and areas, etc. This is the type of tour that Australians need, to learn more about Australian history, indigenous culture and also better understand the natural environment that Indigenous Australians understood and managed so effectively. After doing this tour then driving past endless dry, dusty sheep paddocks, it really highlighted to us how damaged and desolate the landscape has become through European farming practices the last 200+ years.See more..
5.0Hedonistic Hiking - Day Tours(19 reviews) - Our first experience with Jackie and Mick in the King Valley. An amazing experience from start to finish. Walking Tours • Wine Tours & Tastings
Jackie and Mick obviously select and build an extraordinary relationship with their suppliers that connect the suppliers to the hikers in order to provide a very bespoke and intimate experience. All catering and wine makers are passionate in providing the best possible products. Add to that, the high level of planning and blending of the amazing local produce into the entire weekend. Top that off with friendly and professional service continuously made for a sensational weekend. Loved the poems Mick! These are the travel experiences that we all will remember for a very long time and clearly distinguish Hedonistic Hiking from most other organised travel packages. Thank you Jackie and Mick.See more..
Experience the iconic clifftops that signify the Great Ocean Road. Look out for native wildlife hiding out among the coastal heath at dusk and absorb the unforgettable panoramas back to Port Campbell, Sentinel Rock and the Twelve Apostles. There are steps for a short section at the beginning of the walk. The walk will take you through Port Campbell National Park. It starts at the Port Campbell Lookout and ends at the Two Mile Carpark. They recommend that it will take you 1.5 hours and it's a 4.4kilometre walk in total. Also they remind individuals that dogs and cats are not permitted.See more..
