Spanning two city blocks, the centre boasts several unique architectural features including the giant Marionette Watch hanging in Shot Tower Square, famous for its hourly rendition of the Australian anthem 'Waltzing Matilda'. The square is named after the historic Coops Shot Tower a bullet-making facility built in 1889. Today, the brick shot tower stands proudly in its original place, protected by a modern twist: the magnificent Glass Cone, designed in the '80s by Japanese architect Kisho Kurokawa. While it floods the centre with natural light, the Glass Cone's design also makes it one of Melbourne's most recognisable landmarks. Westfield Doncaster image
My wife and visited this shopping centre to have lunch and do some shopping. There is free car parking for 3 hours, which is enough for us. We lived in Doncaster East many years ago before moving to an inner suburb. We have not been here since it was renovated and extended. It is now a large shopping centre with a huge variety of store and two major supermarkets. We visited on a Tuesday morning when there were not many people around. See more..
  5. 4.0 Langtree Mall (33 reviews)
    - School holiday effort is appreciated

    Langtree Mall image
We are holidaying in Mildura and one of the highlights for the kids is the massive sandpit installed on the mall. What a great idea! It’s covered, has seating, lots of toys, and a few hula hoops and basketball hoop too. Next to the sandpit is also another excellent idea, using a vacant shop to help promote creative play for kids using bits and bobs. The mall is otherwise needing customers and likely covid to sort itself out as there are a few missing shops and low foot traffic . Very pleasant place to wonder through and lots of eating options on your door step See more..

  7. 3.5 Sunshine Market Place (6 reviews)
    - Good shopping centre
    Spent 1-2 hours Shopping Malls
Visited on Wednesday 21st February. We were passing and wanted to get a few things at the supermarket. Parking was easy, with plenty of parking spots available. Not far to walk and you have enough choice to do your weekly shopping there. Our only complaint was that it was not well sign posted from Ballarat Road, I suppose if you shopped there regularly that wouldn't be a problem for most. See more..
