  1. 4.0 Domaine Chandon (547 reviews)
    - A great sparkling wine tasting experience
    Wednesday: 10:30 AM - 4:30 PM Wineries & Vineyards
    Domaine Chandon image
After a less than expected lunch at a newly winery we decided to pop in to Domaine for a wine tasting. We loved the experience, were delighted with the staff member who spent considerable time with us talking about the history of Domaine and about the Yarra Valley and loved the sparkling wines we tasted. Two of us tried the Domaine Garden Spritz which is a variation on the classic Aperol Spritz and very nice on a hot afternoon. My friend and I tried the sparkling tasting paddles and chose three sparking wines that were new to us. As a result we purchased the Garden Spritz and the 2013 Winemakers Selection Sparkling Rose on the way out. A very enjoyable afternoon! And to top it off, the views from the outdoor seating down the slope and across the vines was spectacular. See more..

These are released under the Cellar Door label and are available nowhere else. The range includes limited releases of new varietals, experimental batches and aged wines. Adjacent to the Cellar Door at Milawa is our restaurant where you can enjoy a la carte dishes created with local produce to complement Brown Brothers wines. Yering Station image
Yering Station is Victoria's first winery, established in 1838, when Victoria was still attached to New South Wales. The vineyard has been planted with a variety of wines, but has specialised in cool climate varieties, which are well suited to the Yarra Valley's temperate climate. You can make it to the cellar door, but you can also buy on-line. Considering a bottle of mass-market wine costs $20 these days, the price for these outstanding estate-grown wines is quite reasonable See more..

    - Lovely wines, service & food
    Wednesday: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM Spent 2-3 hours Wineries & Vineyards
    Coombe Yarra Valley image
We loved everything about our lunch at this very special place. The food was delicious and so were the wines - especially the Fullerton Pinot Noir and the Blanc de Blanc sparkling. Next time we would probably add on a salad to the main course. The service was lovely, the young lady who served us went out of her way to organise the last bottle of Fullerton Pinot Noir that day and entertained us with a story of her grandfather in Delhi - that personal touch topped off a beautiful meal. Thank you very much! See more..

    - Three H’s: Humble, Homey and Honest
    Wineries & Vineyards
    Wyanga Park Winery image
We’re greeted by the staff with a smile and they welcomed us in their little winery even though we don’t have a booking. Lots of artwork inside the restaurant. The view outside are amazing as well! As for the wines, there’s a lot of interesting flavours. $8 for a paddle sounds very reasonable. $45 for a meat and cheese platter is a little bit expensive for me though. While my partner and I are enjoying our wine and cheese, a self-entitled “Karen” came in stating that she booked a table and wants to be in an outside section. The staff are calm and told her she can have a seat on an outside section on the back side of the restaurant. However she keeps on insisting to be seated on the front side even though that one is full. She ended up leaving instead. good riddance! I could have offered to walk her out the door but she’s way too fast. There’s no room for arrogant people like her in a place like this. See more..

Excellent food, beautiful outlook and great decor. There is a terrace menu with small plates, large plates or platters or a set menu at $80 for two courses or $95 for three. The terrace menu has a platter that I thought was overpriced at $80 about a third of it was bread. The dishes we had from the set menu were delicious, especially the leek tart ! The wines were very nice. I would love to see a degustation with matched wines. I’d definitely go back for that . I think you will have to book very early once the weather gets colder because there’s not much room inside… See more..

Located in the picturesque Yarra Valley, Mandala Wines has proudly crafted wines of character and finesse since 1999. Established by the Smedley family, Mandala has two sites under vine: one at Dixons Creek, where the 5* James Halliday-rated Cellar Door complex and glasshouse DiVino Ristorante is based, and the other at Yarra Junction. Both sites produce wine varietals that excel in the region; Dixons Creek is home to a mix of classic varieties, while the Yarra Junction vineyard was carefully selected for premium pinot noir production. Punt Road Wines image
Everything we do comes from our home in Coldstream. Ideas are born here, the grapes are grown here, and our wines are crafted and shared here. As a family-owned vineyard and winery, we aim to create wines that reflect the heritage of our site, and the independent, creative energy of the Yarra Valley. Winemaker Tim Shand guides the path of fruit from more than 150 acres of estate-grown vineyards. We have planted several varieties over the past 27 years to best suit this site, including pinot gris, chardonnay, pinot noir, gamay, shiraz, merlot, cabernet franc and cabernet sauvignon. These varieties shine in different ways across three distinctive expressions – Airlie Bank, Punt Road and our limited release ‘Block Series’ wines – with our full Punt Road range always available for tastings. Relax with a cheese platter, a glass or a full wine flight, chat with our team and experience why we spend every day here. See more..

    - Wicked villa stay

    Wicked Virgin Olive Grove image
Our stay at The Wicked Villa was fabulous. It is a two story villa, originally it was a silo but with a very clever renovation a few years ago it has been transformed into an up-to-date modern apartment. The bedroom and bathroom are on the ground level, a small spiral staircase takes you upstairs to a well equipped kitchen and lounge room, opening out to a small deck overlooking the olive grove. Laurel our host was most welcoming. The bed was uber comfortable, deep bath, double shower ,home made olive oil soap. Breakfast was provided, farm fresh eggs, bacon, juice, yogurt, coffee pods and home made stewed rhubarb. I would recommend the wicked villa, it’s a lovely place to stay. See more..
