A wonderful collection of photos and artefacts from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries showing what life was like living in a small community that was fairly isolated until the construction of the Great Ocean Road. Lots of information about shipwrecks in the area and lots of photo albums from the Victorian era. This is a great place to look if you are researching family members who may have lived in the region or want to get a taste of life in the previous two centuries. Definitely more suited to some quiet reading time if you’re more interested in finding out about everyday history, than a family attraction / day out, but we very much enjoyed our browse and would have stayed longer had we not had our teenage daughter with us whose attention span was challenged by this type of presentation.
