Degraves Street is famous for food and coffee. Now that the barricades, which were erected as part of Victoria's "Big Build" construction project have been removed, accessing Degraves St is much easier. Degraves St is accessed through Flinders St and Flinders Lane. You can choose from a wide range of eateries and cafes. Soon it will be summer, and Degraves St will be busy, as usual. This famous lane in the middle of the busy City is much loved by Melburnians, especially when they can sit outside in the sunshine and drink their coffee. See more..

    Piper Street image
What you won't see here is the Pied Piper of Hamelin skipping down the street in his multi-coloured clothing with rats trailing him. What you will see is ...a stunning street full of shops that entice you into them, verandahs and old world charm. I have visited this street a few times this year- mostly for it's cafe culture. Kyneton has exceptional cafes. The last time I was in town I went linen shopping ... one of my shortcomings is my love of linen. :) The street is an essential part of the Kyneton experience and one that you should add to your list of experiences.
