Beautiful waterfall surrounded by lots of greenery. Was a nice walk down to the falls, however going back up the stairs was a hike! Totally worth it though. Be wary, parking is along a one way track and may be hard to find a spot.See more..
4.5Steavenson Falls(702 reviews) - Picturesque Waterfall (even at night) with easy access Saturday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Spent 1-2 hours Waterfalls
The carpark is only a short and flat 50 metres walk away from the waterfall. We visited twice - once during the day and another visit at night (it is open and very well it up until 11.00pm - see picture). It was impressive seeing the turbine that powers the lights at night and seeing the large volume of water crashing down into the creek below. This is well worth a visit - free entry and easy access.See more..
4.5Woolshed Waterfalls(403 reviews) - Great Wateffall And Well Presented Park Waterfalls
Woolshed Waterfalls was a big surprise as it was a pretty water fall with water cascading over granite rocks down into a gorge and pool. The park was very well presented with two good viewing areas and all the amentities needed.Well done Parks Victoria.See more..
4.5McKenzies Falls(276 reviews) - Scenic fitness test Waterfalls
Amusing how the 550 metre sign from top car park to falls base deceives many this natural scene sounds like a peaceful stroll. No, it’s a puffer. Downwards thumping your hamstring brakes and on way back a heart health test. Nonetheless, it’s beautiful and in Spring 2020 the water gushed freely for a spectacular waterfall. Plenty of seats parked along track for those needing a break. A top Grampians visit.See more..
4.0Trentham Falls(231 reviews) - Dramatic falls when it is raining. Waterfalls
We drove 20 odd kms to Trentham Falls which we figured would have a good volume due to the recent heavy rains. We were not disappointed – it was a bit of a steep walk down but worth it when we got there. Not quite the size of the big waterfalls along the waterfall way earlier this year in NSW but still substantial and the biggest drop in Victoria – 32 m. It was on the Coliban River. Well worth a visit.See more..
4.0Silverband Falls(184 reviews) - Easy walk to beautiFall Waterfalls
Springtime visit with my mountain goat tweens. Off they jogged on easy-moderate mildly ascending track (around 800m) to Silverband Falls. Winter rains ensured a good flow of water over the Falls. Summer it can be dry. Lovely experience of Australian bush and Grampian’s landscape.See more..
Long walk in with a massive amount of descending stairs, which makes you question the dreaded climb out! Thankfully, the loop out is way easier, but it's still a good overall calf workout! The falls themselves are beautiful and even in February were flowing nicely. Viewing platforms (3) give differing vantage points and spots to rest and take in the sounds of nature. Well worth the walkSee more..
Hidden Falls in Toora, South Gippsland. Falls are 40 km long and cascade over rocks in a picturesque gorge. Picnic tables and toilets. Nice, shady area, a bit of an hidden gem. Falls were name from John Gellion's daughter, Agnes. Agnes was also a popular name at the time.See more..
4.5Toorongo Falls(119 reviews) - Brilliant after rain Saturday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Spent 2-3 hours Waterfalls
Visited here after the heavy rain. The road to the falls was closed about 2 kms before the car park and there were still plenty of idiots driving through the road closed sign. We parked prior to the sign along with other responsible citizens. As we walked along the road we saw plenty of obvious reasons why it was closed to vehicles, including washaways, downed trees and mudslides. The walk up to the falls took around 30 mins from the end of the road. The force of the river was evident and the water tumbled down the boulders. The falls were very picturesque. Again a couple of idiots were standing at the edge of the top of the falls on slippery rocks, trying to get that Instagram pic. It is simply not worth it. There were plenty making the trek which would have been a 6-7 kms round trip from the road block sign.See more..
4.5Hopetoun Falls(111 reviews) - Beautiful waterfall on a steep track Waterfalls
Visited just after the massive downpour across Victoria and the falls were definitely flowing! Doesn't take long to walk down to the base platform but there are plenty of stairs, some quite steep, so prepare yourself for the way back up. If it has been raining in the area, it can get quite muddy on the path making it a bit slippery. Bit of a narrow road on the way in and out and a bit bumpy. Also, there are no toilets here - closet one is at the Redwood Forrest a few minutes away.See more..
Wannon Falls located in the Southern Grampians presents a spectacular display of water flowing down the falls into a deep plunge pool below. Just 20 km west of Hamilton Wannon Falls was created by basalt lava flow that surged upstream to the Wannon River. There are two falls near each other (comparatively speaking) that are worth heading out to see ... this one and Nigretta. These falls have a viewing deck that enables you to see the water plunge over a basalt lava cliff dropping into a large plunge pool 30 metres. The viewing deck is great for anyone with mobility issues and it's not too far from the carpark. This is the only way to view these falls as well... from the safety of the viewing area. Adjacent to the falls there is a recreational reserve with picnic areas and some interpretation signs.See more..
4.0Sheoak Falls(83 reviews) - Great view over the ocean Spent < 1 hour Waterfalls
Only a 20 min walk from the car park and the usual assortment of stairs take you to a nice waterfall which flows well after a good dump of rain. You can continue for another 500 mtrs to see the swallow cave if you are keen. The walk takes you along a boardwalk that overlooks the ocean. You may even get a chance to see a whale if your are there at the right timeSee more..
The falls tumble over many rocky outcrops creating several streams of falling water and then drop into a large pool at the base before continuing its journey to the Wannon Falls some 10 kilometres downstream. In contrast to the single plunge of the Wannon Falls, Nigretta is a more interesting, multi-channel segmented cascade of smaller drops and bounces guided by patterns of joints in a much older (Devonian) rhyolitic volcanic rock. There is heaps of car parking available for those coming to see the falls. There is a new viewing deck with an incredible vantage point, but if you want a different perspective you can still walk to the old viewing area. Further to this, you can take the steps down to the base of the falls to give you another perspective. The main viewing deck is the only area that is accessible for those with mobility issues, but it will give you a very clear view of the falls. These falls are worth stopping in to see...they are not too far off the main road.See more..
4.0Hopkins Falls(71 reviews) - An Oasis in the Regional "Suburbs" Saturday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Waterfalls
After over a decade visiting Port Fairy and the Warrnambool district it was only in a brochure last year that we learnt of Hopkins Falls. On our return this year we visited the Falls and were overwhelmed by what we saw. In the scheme of things it is no Niagra however it was a pleasant surprise to find such an attraction. I think it could be expanded further with more b-b-q and bench facilities. The indigenous folk of times gone by had used this place as a food source and more could be made of this for the tourist.See more..
4.5Buckley Falls(56 reviews) - Only minutes from Geelong CBD Nature & Wildlife Areas • Waterfalls
As quiet park area on the edge of the urban sprawl. Australia is really flat, so for international visitors this is a cascade rather than falls... There is a parking bay close to the falls so the walk is only a couple hundred metres to the viewing platforms. You can view the falls with only a 25m walk from your car if you want. The walk is downhill on the way out, the path is well constructed with had rails which are needed due to the bluestone paving being a little uneven. There are more parking bays linked to the area and spots to sit and tables for picnics. So close to the CBD I cant think of a reason to miss it.See more..
4.5Fainter Falls(54 reviews) - An easy and rewarding scenery stop Waterfalls

4.5Fish Falls(50 reviews) - Great hike from Mackenzie Falls Waterfalls
The walk down from Mackenzie Falls to Fish Falls is awesome! Most of the track is rocks strategically placed and it was so much fun to get down there. The walk is steeper on the way back but it wasn’t hard (we have a average fitness levels). We spent ages just hanging out halfway down the falls as it was so nice. I would recommend going as early as possible - we arrived at Mackenzie Falls at 9am and by the time we got back there at around 10.30am it was very crowded.See more..
3.5Olinda Falls(44 reviews) - Beautiful day at Olinda falls Waterfalls
I was fortunate to go to the Olinda falls on a very beautiful day. The foot path was surrounded with bright green tall trees and ferns. The sky was blue, and there were birds tweeting in the trees. The walk to the Olinda falls was quite steep, I would highly suggest wearing runners. I can understand why some reviews suggest they were disappointed when reaching the falls. Compared to other waterfalls, it looks more like a creek on a slope. The walk back up can be a bit difficult, as there is quite an elevation. There are seats every now and then on the walking path. the path is dirt, so I can imagine it being very muddy and slippery if it is raining, or has just rained.See more..

4.5Snobs Creek Falls(41 reviews) - Just the falls Spent < 1 hour Waterfalls
Tarmac road turns to gravel, but still well formed for any vehicle. Very dusty and watch out for the log trucks that use the road. Parking is on the side of the road and good for about 5 to 8 cars. Short walk(100m) down steps to the viewing platform which is built out for a good view of the falls. No facilities here. You probably will only be here for 15 to 20 mins as only the falls to see.See more..
My wife and I stopped here for a walk on our way to Daylesford for a holiday of two nights, to attend an event called "Borealis on The Lake". We had enjoyed our previous visit 6 months ago and decided to visit again. This time, there was plenty of water in the twin waterfalls, because of so much rain in recent weeks. We embarked on the 1.4km Loop to Springs walk, which is a bit rugged in parts. At the time of our visit, there was no one else around, as it was a Wednesday morning in winter off peak season. Our car was the only car in the car park.See more..

Excellent way to end your exploration of the Gorge Rd circuit. Easy to see falls from viewing which is located right on road See more..
We chose to visit the waterfall earlier in the day to beat the heat, so glad we did as the steep track to the viewing area was also covered in loose gravel and trip hazards made it hard going. There’s an handrail along the steepest part which helped when you needed that little bit of help! The view was reasonably good and having a bench seat up there and only being the two of us, we sat and listened to the tranquil sounds of nature. A perfect start to our day. Well worth the effort to get to the top.See more..
We went following the heavy late October rain and it was going hard still. There were great falls all over the place. This was worth the easy walk. Another ten minutes up the road opposite the closed lodge is the lookout. Beautiful views over the Alps. See more..
The track to Upper Kalimna Falls was closed when we visited in late May, as was the road beyond the Sheoak Picnic Area. The Sheoak Picnic Area is about 10 mins along dirt roads from town. From the picnic area it's approx 3km along a good undulating trail through the forest with views of the creek to reach the lower falls. The falls itself features a large curved undercut rock allowing you to walk under and behind the falls. It's a really peaceful area and a great spot to stop and have a rest or lunch before returning to the car park or when the track is repaired going to the upper falls and the rest of the loop walk.See more..
Lovely walk - downhill all the way so uphill all the way back. Some amazingly huge eucalypts, lovely tree ferns and some fabulous fungi, including coral and jelly fungi in oranges and yellows. We got as far as the first cascade before we turned back due to mud. My husband in his boots was fine, I in my runners slipped and slid and got a bit wet; this despite recent sunny days and little rain. About half of the walk was very muddy. Be prepared!See more..
4.0Gooram Falls(20 reviews) - Good Gooram Saturday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Spent < 1 hour Waterfalls
Always like a swimming/paddling hole and this one is the winner in Victoria, just pips Fish falls in the Grampians in that it has a lot of pools and small cascades through gaps in the rocks for a few hundred metres so there will always be room for everyone. Easy to scramble along the rocks or walk the path beside the creek. Not a lot of shade but bits here and there. Hope to be back in summer with adults and kids to give it a go as the kids can't drown and the adults can sit in the rock polls as the kids wander off and explore. A real gemSee more..
4.0Lal Lal Falls(19 reviews) - In the footsteps of Eugene von Guérard Spent 1-2 hours Waterfalls
Within an easy and relaxing drive from Melbourne the Lal Lal water falls are an amazing place to visit and well worth it. There is a great walking trek and you can even stand in the places that renowned Australia landscape artist Eugene von Guérard stood when paining the fall in the mid 1800's. Go for a hike, stop and have lunch, or simply photograph these stunning falls.See more..
Local information let us know this waterfall was open once again November 2021. Despite not being able to access the bottom of the falls or the creek bed it was great to see a lot of water flowing over the edge. Locals said best time to visit is March to December or other times after rainfall. Dirt road going up to the falls can be slippery after rain so would recommend taking it easy if your not a confident driver. Well worth the drive to visit.See more..
4.5Stevensons Falls(18 reviews) - What a great place to visit and have lunch Waterfalls
Stumbled on this place while driving up to Forest from Apollo Bay. The gravel road takes you down into the valley for about 6 kms when you arrive at the Stevenson’s Falls campground and the falls are another 2.5 kms along the track. It is accessible with a 2WD but take it easy as a track is not overly wide. The falls are only 300 mtrs from the car park and were flowing well after a good rain. Remember to pack a lunch and if it is a hot day you can cool off in the river.See more..
4.0Phantom Falls(18 reviews) - Exercise time! But worth it. Spent 2-3 hours Waterfalls
It is mostly an up hill climb with numerous steps to get to these falls. Needs a good rainfall before viewing. But nestled right in the bush, which has recovered very well after the 2009 fires. Small car park at the bottom in slushy mud for 3 cars, maybe squeeze a few more along the track. You actually veer off the main track down to the car park for these falls. It's about 30 mins return walk.See more..
4.5Henderson Falls(18 reviews) - A must see Spent More than 3 hours Hiking Trails • Waterfalls
We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at these falls. Nestled amongst multiple ferns these falls were worth the extremely muddy track. They can be accessed from the Sheoak camping ground car park, or you can shave 1.5 kms off the walk if you start from Sharps track, about 1 km on the right before you arrive at Sheoak car park. Wear boots and be prepared for plenty of mud. There are other falls to be seen on route. The walk is easy and follows an old logging tram way.See more..
5.0Paradise Falls(15 reviews) - Excellent day to visit and very rewarding Spent 1-2 hours Waterfalls
Afternoon visit to the falls did not disappoint. The walk in was not too difficult but dampness under foot meant you did need to watch your steps. The falls were flowing enough and the walk behind and down to the bottom were great. The walk back up could be a challenge for some. Excellent and enjoyable.See more..
Paradise Falls is located in the Alpine National park outside of Cheshunt. Paradise Falls cascade an uninterrupted 31 metres and are best viewed in spring, early summer or after rain. 4.0Eurobin Falls(8 reviews) - Very beautiful and lots of water Waterfalls

3.0Loddon Falls(6 reviews) - Little known waterfall Waterfalls
Loddon Falls is a little known waterfall about 2 kms from Glenlyon and about 15 km from Daylesford. The waterfall is only a 10 m drop but the gorge it is in makes for a lovely walk. After heavy rain it is an impressive torrent but at other times the basalt columns on the gorge are well worth a view. They are more impressive than the better known Organ Pipes near Sunbury. Coffee and muffin at the Glenlyon store complements the visit! To find the falls, pass over the Loddon bridge from Glenlyon and take the first left on to Holcombe road and then the next left onto a gravel track.See more..

4.5Metcalfe Cascades(5 reviews) - Powerful area Spent 1-2 hours Waterfalls
With only one reference of summer weather this place isn’t somewhere to come see powerful waterfalls but the beauty in the rocks through the valley and the way the river splits into a multitude of small trickles carving their way through is beautiful! There is a feel of a once powerful river with the water carve outs and deep impressions from heavier water volumes (which I will have to return in winter to see if there still are) Definitely a nice place to meditate and the river opens up towards the end where some fishing would seem nice and I seen someone heading down to do. If visiting Turpin falls it’s worth the small drive over. Four or more park benches and a nice spot to relax with friends or alone See more..

4.5Little Aire Falls(4 reviews) - Totally worth it if you have time Waterfalls
We were tricked by the Parks Victoria pamphlet which says this walk is 2.3km return - it’s not, it’s 2.3km each way! The walk is easy (though muddy) and the Lookout is perched on top of a cliff looking straight into the falls making it quite unique.See more..
5.0Cumberland Falls(4 reviews) - Not for the faint hearted Scenic Walking Areas • Waterfalls

4.0Rollasons Falls(3 reviews) - Amazing when you get there Nature & Wildlife Areas • Hiking Trails • Waterfalls
Rollasons falls is past Lady bath falls heading up to Mount Buffalo chalet. There is a large car park and picnic area with a drop toilet. The track starts off gentle and then heads down hill and gets very rocky in parts. There is a sign to say lower or upper falls. We chose the lower falls and it was very steep and getting into the water was tricky. Beautiful scenery but very difficult to get too. We swam there for a while then decided to head but up the hill and not go to the upper falls. Going back up with not easy and does take time. I had 3 very fit teenagers and at times they struggled and had to stop. Not suitable for little people (walk or swim) or people who are unfit or unsteady on their feet.See more..
4.0Lawson Falls(1 review) - Not for the faint hearted Waterfalls
Well Lawson Falls are in Bunyip State Park... it's located at the corner of Forest and Tea Tree Roads. You can park at the nearby picnic grounds carpark, or there is room for a few cars in front of the entry point to the hike to the falls. The falls hike is called the Discovery Trail and there are no indications of how long or difficult this hike will be. The paths are in reasonable condition however, you will require a certain level of fitness to do this hike. There is a lot of up ... and down... and up... and down... you get the picture. I can assure you that the hike is really pretty, the smell of the bush assails you and other than wondering if you are going to have a heart attack in the middle of nowhere from all the 'up' bits... it's worth going to have a look at the falls. The falls are about 2k's in... I think. I was simply walking wondering if I was ever going to find them. I was amused when not too far from the falls, I crossed a small bridge. ( There must have been life there at some point :) ) , then not too far from that there was a sign to the falls...but until that point I had NO idea where I was or how far I had come. From the sign, the path heads down... and the steps are quite steep. The falls are not well maintained...so taking photos is a bit difficult because of the growth around them. However, they are quite picturesque. The sound of the water is quite relaxing and there is a sense of achievement at having found the elusive falls. :)See more..
A little known spot which I discovered many years ago and revisited again recently. You need to park your vehicle at Neioff rd and walk along Warbler Track for 450 metres . You will come to a little creek crossing but stay on the track that veers to the left for another 300 metres. Follow the single person path for another 100 metres where you will discover a waterfall which depending on the time of year or rainfall has water trickling or spilling over. Its is a walk that requires a little bit of fitness and care is needed when walking on rocks as they can be slippery wet or dry. It is a relaxing spot and great to enjoy the sound of the water , birds and the wind through the trees.See more..
4.0Bindaree Falls(1 review) - Tranquil Australian bush at it's best Spent 1-2 hours Waterfalls
About 10km’s past Craig’s Hut you will see a turnoff towards Bindaree Falls. Even though this part can be accessed by 2wd, a 4WD is recommended throughout this area. From the car park here, it is only a 10 minute walk up the hill with steps, The falls can also be reached via a 4WD track. From Craig’s Hut, keep driving towards Mount Stirling. Turn left on to Monument Track which continues on to Circuit Road and finally turning right and then left to Bindaree Road and the carpark. A little over 5km drive from the falls, is the Bindaree Hut campground. Continue down Bindaree Road towards the Upper Howqua Campground. Make a sharp right once you hit the Upper Howqua Road and 1.5KM from there will get you to the campground. Initially we did hear about the Bindaree Hut being a strange small hut, not much bigger than a cubby house and it’s true, it is very small compared to other in the area.See more..
