A modest sign directs you onto this working farm. We were met by friendly staff We were offered tasting of each of the cheese made on site and told a summary of their characteristics which prepared our tastebuds and gave us a greater appreciation. It was good to hear that some of the cheeses are stocked by Woolies in Yarrawonga and served at a few local tourist venues. We chose a few cheeses and enjoyed them that night with our local wine purchase. Our visit was late morning so we didn’t see milking etc and this is a working farm not a major tourist attraction with a lot of staff. If you’re a family with kids milking time would be more educational. If you are buying cheeses and haven’t come prepared with a fridge you can get a Boosey Creek insulated bag from the farm shop. We will definitely return on our next visit to the area. See more..

5.0Cloud 9 Farm(17 reviews) - Great new wine and cheese from the farm gate Friday: Farms
We recently discovered that Cloud 9 Farm had opened its doors to the public for sales of their wines and cheeses. The property location is stunning set on a hillside with glorious views to the north over rolling hill country. The cellar door is sited to make maximum use of the views. This family run business although small is producing some quality product, the wines are mainly shiraz merlot blends and great value. The real winner is the cheeses, they do a camembert style soft cheese called White Velvet, a cheddar and a grana or parmesan style cheese all made from their own herd of Dexter/Jersey cattle. They also offer a great cheese platter and wines by the glass, just ideal for a lazy afternoon.See more..

5.0Five Ducks Farm(13 reviews) - A good place to fill up on goodies! Farms
We were fortunate in that the owners’ return from a trip coincided with our stay and though they were low on stock, (because they’d been away), there was still a very good selection of products available. Their honey is delicious, as is their Blackberry and Shiraz jam and though the weather was mild, it’s ALWAYS a good day for an ice cream, especially “homemade”, and we thoroughly enjoyed ours! As we’d recently seen an echidna in the wild, finding a hand-painted card of one seemed fortuitous - plus the purchase supported wildlife rescue. Friendly service topped off a short but very pleasing stop.See more..

4.0The Fruitfarm(3 reviews) - Exceptional Fruits, and a Fantastic Experience Points of Interest & Landmarks • Farms
Support these guys and not the big supermarkets. This is my first visit to a fruit farm and I am blown away. The fruits are fresh, juicy, and sweet. Unlike the fruits from Coles, Woolworths or Aldi, this fruits are picked when ripe and are "artificially ripened" and picked way too early. I've never had such a great experience eating fruits, it's literally mouth watering and they are about the same price as Coles, Woolworths and Aldi. The reviews below are unfair, as the wive of the farmer running the retail store is suffering from a disease which the farmer himself did not disclose. My heart is moved when a perfectly good farm is struggling to stay open. If you live around Swan Reach, Johnsonville, Mossiface, Bairnsdale, Lakes Entrance, and Bruthen, please volunteer your time to help keep this place open.See more..
This is our second year picking cherries at Lanidale. There are SO MANY ripe juicy cherries on the trees. I was plucking cherries from the first tree inside the entrance, and it could easily fill 5 or more buckets. Overall description. Good service and friendly. The cherry area is covered by a giant net. Tasting and enjoying heaps of cherries while you are there is already covered in your entrance fee. You are asked how many buckets you want (bag inside each bucket) When level full, it holds around 5kg. Every tree we encountered was full of fruit and could fill many buckets with heaps of fruit low and easy to pluck. It took us a bit over an hour to fill our buckets. Cherries are only $10 a kilo. Bring containers to spread out the cherries a bit. 5 kg sitting on itself in a bag can squash a little. (We use 2 litre ice cream containers. One bucket fills 10 to 14 litres) Really recommended. So deliciousSee more..

5.0Europa Gully Orchard(1 review) - Real taste and crunch Friday: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM Farms
I'm not fond of apples but my sister is, so we called into this farm on a trip to Beechworth. The farmer was very helpful describing all the apples and pears available for us to pick - and said be could taste before picking as well. There was one apple we hadn't heard of - Mutsu, a Japanese brand - and it was magnificent. For the week that followed, I ate one very day but sadly I can't find anything as fresh and as delicious back home, even in the famers markets. Well worth a visit in the right season.See more..
