5.0The Bike Hire Company(169 reviews) - Excellent Service Friday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Gear Rentals • Self-Guided Tours & Rentals
A group of intrepid 60 something riders from Brisbane rode the Murray to Mountains Rail Trail with bikes hired from The Bike Hire Company. Their service was impeccable. The bikes were dropped off at our start location in Bright the day before with a proper briefing and set up for each rider. We were equipped with the necessary repair kit and panniers and the bikes all included disc brakes, suspension forks, front handlebar bags, and rear racks for panniers. James looked after us and we even received a call while we were riding to check if everything was OK. The service was absolutely great and I would highly recommend The Bike Hire company to look after your bike needs when hiring bikes for the M2M Rail Trail.See more..
5.0Bright Electric Bikes(104 reviews) - A great company to hire an electric bike from Friday: 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM Gear Rentals • Self-Guided Tours & Rentals
The trail ride from Bright to Harrietville was much more enjoyable on an electric bike. We hadn’t used electric bikes before, but we wanted to give them a try over a number of days. The staff at Bright Electric Bikes couldn’t have been more helpful - they explained everything clearly and adjusted the bikes to suit each of us. In no time we were on our way on our Kalkhoff e-bikes and they turned out to be easy and fun to ride, with a great range of over 100km. We had a great time over 3 days and gave them (and ourselves) a good work out. We can thoroughly recommend Bright Electric Bikes and the Kalkhoff e-bikes.See more..

4.5Hoys Harrietville Ski Centre(34 reviews) - Relaxed and friendly service Friday: 7:00 AM - 11:45 PM Gear Rentals
Over a weekend as a group of 6 mixed ability skier/ snow boarders we popped into the Harrietville, Hotham central and Jack Frost Hoys shops, as well as meeting the chain service guy on Sunday. We hired great clothing that felt new, and good quality equipment. They were, in each interaction, relaxed despite being busy, polite, patient, friendly and provided excellent service that made the weekend a success. The service began over a month before our visit when they called me to double check that my SUV tires had sufficient clearance for chains, and identified a back up plan should there be a problem with them. Thank you so much.See more..

Great service from Hoys crew. So welcoming and accommodating when the kids were getting their ski gear. Our family love the quality of your hire gear, condition of bindings and skis. My niece hired gear from Bright (not from Hoys as I recommended) and the difference was quite obvious.See more..
WHAT AN EXPERIENCE!! I cant thank Jack enough for assisting me to get the PADI open water certification! I would recommend him to anyone who is in Portland. Everyone I spoke to at the shop was efficient and kind and made the booking process super easy. I also had to change my dates 3 times and it was always accommodated for. Jack was professional, patient, knowledgable and super passionate about diving. I was very nervous about the whole experience but from the first pool session I was blown away with the easy to follow instructions. if you are ever in portland and have the time i would highly recommend you go with Jack, his knowledge on the area is second to none.See more..
3.5Bogong Ski Centre(3 reviews) - Service provider but not much else Spent < 1 hour Gear Rentals
We visit here regularly each year in the cold season. Ski gear, chains and all things snow are available here for purchase and hire. Situated at the foot of the road up to Falls Creek, they have a prime position. We have our own ski gear etc so stop usually for some food and a visit to the shop which often has lovely gear - overpriced but some nice pieces. If you visit later in the season there are often reduced items. An older lady who is often in the shop is not focussed on customer service. A shame, as we would linger longer if she was!See more..

We went here twice. While the service overall was good, it was much better the second time. On that visit we haired the tandem bike to go down the rail trail. Before we went out they checked over the bike made sure we had a spare tube and pump as well as checking we knew what to do. Even though you got the impression we weren't their target we still got good service and felt reasonable looked after.See more..
