We camped here for one night , we turned up with no phone service and the office was closed . We opened the gate and found ourself a van spot . The walk around is nice and it’s a beautiful spot . We told the office the next morning but all the lady wanted to do was get us out even though no one else was coming . We did the tour with a young lady who was boring but informative . The caves were beautiful and worth the walk $ 22 for adults There were koalas in the park when we were there and the river was beautiful Showers were good but understandably short ( 4 minute timer) overall present stay except for the older lady in charge ( crank) hahha See more..

Well worth visiting this place so much to see caves are amazing. Might be worth taking a decent pair of shoes as some parts you climb over rocks. Dogs aren’t allowed on this beach so we had to come back another day without our dog. Not a place to go swimming though to rough there is so areas you could with rock pools though. See more..

Well worth a look at. Not far to walk and see an interesting phenomenon of history. Well signed posted and tracks easily indicated. Explanatory boards were in poor state and need restoring or replacing. Have advised Parks Victoria of this which they have acknowledged. Believe there is a walking track to Mt Napier (the source of the lava flow that lead to these caves being created) which is something to look forward to. Good idea to include Mt Eccles (near Macarthur) and Mt Rouse (near Penshurst) as places of interest to visit. See more..

Never expected this cave complex to be by the roadside. Of the series of caves, the one I believe is the largest appears at a higher elevation on the hillside arousing the excitement to explore. From the foot hill it appears to be easy climb but beyond halfway the ground tends to be slippery and becomes steep. Unfortunately, this location does not have a stepped boarded walk way or built steps and landings and the accessibility is on a path created by visitor’s regular movement. Once reaching the cave entrance I was delighted to see the distant Cape Bridgewater Lake and dunes beyond. The vista is scenic. Cave itself had the looks of a limestone origin. Available time was short so it did not permit me to walk across to the other caves along the hillside, nevertheless what I saw was worth the visit. See more..
