4.5London Bridge(1.004 reviews) - A must to visit ! Saturday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Geologic Formations
Remember the song of ‘London Bridge is falling down’ then you’d definitely be right; London Bridge is a limestone archway just offshore that was once connected to the mainland. The part of the rock formation actually collapsed in January 1990, creating the sheer cliffside that you see today. The views from the London Bridge lookout over the Arch and the pristine beach below are beautiful and definitely one of our favourite places to see on the Great Ocean Road. Came here during winter time and can be more peaceful as not much tourist . You can really enjoy the breathtaking and the mother nature has done to this magnificent view.See more..

4.5Eagles Nest(96 reviews) - Ali Brown Geologic Formations
I spent just over a month visiting my daughter in Victoria and upon reflection, this was the most beautiful place I visited in South Australia (no mean feat). We drove along the Inverloch - Cape Patterson road and stopped here for a visit. I was just blown away by the magnificent views and this astounding place has remained very clearly in my memory. The rocky formation Eagle’s Nest maintains an almost gothic sense of the power of nature and the wild, while the idyllic beach is probably the closest thing to Paradise that I’ve ever seen. I only wish I was able to manage the steps down to the beach, but even so, this place truly fires my imagination and the memory (and copious photographs) of it bring me happiness still.See more..

Pyramid Rock rises up out of the Bass Straight. This place is wild and beautiful with the amazing waves crashing against the rock. Best time to visit is sunrise or sunset but still worth a visit. Exploring the natural caves and rocky outcrops in the fresh country air lifts the spirits and ticks the boxes for an easy workout. There are open areas for picnics and extensive walking tracks. The view from the top of the largest outcrops is breathtaking and on a clear day there is so much visual beauty it is a surprise there are so few people there but that is also a bonus for avoiding crowds.See more..

5.0Beechworth Cascades(5 reviews) - One of my favourite spots Bodies of Water • Geologic Formations
Located on Gorge Rd Beechworth For those who love natural water play for their kids than look no further than this amazing spot in Beechworth. Featuring numerous rock pools, mini waterfalls, flowing creeks and swimming holes this spot is a must see in the Beechworth area. The best spot to walk down to various waterfalls are on the right hand side but we also loved the area on left hand side under bridge. For the bushwalking enthusiast you can follow the Spring Creek walking trail from the magnificent Woolshed Falls DIRECTIONS: the first cascades we visited where under the bridge on Gorge Road on left hand side. We than went to the right hand side of creek about 100 metres further up. PARKING: 4-5 car spots on Gorge Road at bridge. We had to park a further 20mins up hill. Gorge Road is only one way so visit Cascades after you check out the historic Powder Magazine. TOILETS: located in town or at Woolshed Falls WARNING: very slippery under foot on rocks.See more..
A geological oddity which we'd never heard of, but upon hearing of them from a local did about a 40km backtrack to go visit. If you have no interest in stone-type things I wouldn't recommend, but for a sense of history and human insignificance, there are some interesting geological sites in the general area. Worth the time.See more..

The Lawrence Rocks are a group of two rocky islets, with an associated reef, just over 2 km south-east of Point Danger in western Victoria, Australia, and about 6 km south-east of the city of Portland. Geologically, the group is formed from the remnants of an extinct volcano, with the islets composed of basalt and tuff. The islets were sighted by Lieutenant James Grant on 5 December 1800 from the survey brig HMS Lady Nelson and named for Captain Effingham Lawrence, one of the Elder Brethren of Trinity House. This was the first look out that I went to at Portland... it was overcast but quite stunning.See more..

5.0Taylor's Rock(1 review) - Beautiful rock Geologic Formations Amazingly beautiful rock that should be listed under NATIMUK. Extremely easy to access as it’s right on Centenary Park rd. See more..
This area shows up on the google maps and finally I managed to make my way onto the road...one day I would like to return... the area is eerily beautiful as you drive through granite-strewn hills and volcanic plains linking the hamlets of Pyalong, Baynton, Toobarac and Lancefield. I wanted to take photos, but it's a tad awkward as this amazing landscape is all on private land and the owners of those parcels of land have signs to indicate it's private. That has probably occurred because of curious people such as myself not respecting the fences... ( Yes, I did respect them... I just didn't like them. :) ) Like megalithic monuments these large rock formations sit like they are waiting for for an artist to take up his easel and etch them into a painting. It's really quite a stunning drive and I would recommend it.See more..
