Great job

Went to the Philip island tour on the 21st of Nov 2022. Our tour guide Graeme was the sweetest guide ever. Very detailed on the tour explanations. Also did make us have a good laugh with his koala song and what made me felt warm was that he would try his best to drop the female customers traveling alone to their nearest hotel location instead of the normal pick up point if it’s too far to ensure their safety. That’s a great plus point and we all loved his guide.

    AMAZING.
I have done 2 tours with Go West this week; Great Ocean Road on Tues 26th April 2022 and Phillip Island on Weds 27th April 2022. Both were AMAZING. Great Ocean Road: Our tour guides were Graeme and Tim. It was Tim's first tour as driver (I think) and even though he was new to the job, he was brilliant. As was Graeme. They were very fun, friendly and knowledgeable about the route/history of related places etc. We felt very well looked after in their hands. The tour itself was brilliant. We saw some truly incredible sights & scenery and had plenty of time at each stop to enjoy everything. Phillip Island: Our tour guide was Sherif, who was absolutely outstanding. His knowledge about the area, animals and history was excellent. It was clear he'd done lots of research. He was a lot of fun, very chatty and enthusiastic, lovely to be around. He also kept us all safe and informed and kept to the schedule really well. The tour, again, was amazing. Every stop off was great, highlights for me being the penguin parade (the last stop)- an experience I would recommend to anyone, it was truly magical, and also the moonlit sanctuary, where we saw lots of Aussie animals and got to feed kangaroos and wallabies. I highly recommend Go West. Their customer service was top notch, cannot fault them at all. Pick ups and drop offs were all prompt and the buses were clean and safe. I would also say that for the experiences you get to have, the tours are very reasonably priced. Can't recommend enough to be honest, if you're even just considering a tour with these guys: DO IT.

Great Neighbours Tour but accessibility issues
Great Neighbours Tour. Bill was a great tour guide. We got to look at the sets at Fremantle Studio and the famous Ramsay Street. The main issue was accessibility. I had a recent operation on my foot and we phoned up several days before to ask about accessibility. We were advised that they couldn’t accommodate a wheelchair but said there wasn’t much walking and that we’d be on and off the bus. This wasn’t true. You get to tour the lots which is great but I ended up doing a lot of walking. When we first got on the bus despite arriving early I’d trekked all the way to the bathroom at the Immigration Museum and by the time I got on the bus it was full, so I had to struggle to the back of the bus. Then a kind lady gave up her seat so I could sit at the front which meant I could elevate my foot. Again just some more info would have been great - there was a bathroom available as soon as we got to the studio. After all the walking around the sets, my foot had swelled up and I was desperate to sit down and elevate my leg. However we had to negotiate with an unpleasant fellow passenger so that I could sit in the only position on the bus where I could elevate my foot (the one I’d been in before). Otherwise we were at the point of calling an Uber and going home. Despite us saying we lived not far from the studio and Ramsay Street we had to trek all the way into the CBD for the tour. At the lot, a group of 3 people joined the tour in their own vehicle which we could have done and this would have been much better for accessibility and reducing discomfort. How come this was an option given to them but not us? Thankfully on the way back, Bill dropped us off at a train station so we could get back home quickly. Please consider people with mobility issues in future. It’s really upsetting to be forced into a situation where you have to negotiate with unkind and unreasonable fellow passengers. If the company had helped more it would have been good. It was also especially frustrating given we had phoned ahead days before. I just hope no lasting damage has been done to my foot or I could be facing reparative surgery. In current times it’s really not unreasonable to expect better in terms of disabled access and also more accurate information.
