3 Star Places To Visit in Massachusetts, United States (50)
3.5Monkey Joe's(21 reviews) - Monkey joes will keep them hopping! Tuesday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Amusement & Theme Parks My five year old daughter enjoyed the six bounce houses immensely. The place is spotlessly clean which Is impressive for a place with little children running around in stocking feet. There is an area for adults with a few chairs and wifi but it's so loud and raucous there is no way that an adult could even contemplate relaxation. It's a nice place for kids from under a year to 12.See more..
The trip overall was very good besides the fact that the game commission closed down cod and haddock A day before our trip . But our captain on the big fish was great (Tom) ! The fog was so bad we couldn't see 100 yards out but Tom did everything he could to try to catch us some fish . We didn't catch any tuna but we did come home with some pulock. You can tell that Tom is a very experienced charter boat fisherman he knows where to go . Scott ZechmanSee more..
I played here because of their great senior rates. What I found was a very well maintained golf course that was fun to play. It is crowded so be sure to book a Tee Time. The course personnel were very helpful and friendly. I was playing alone so they found me a compatible playing partner. The course is fairly tight so you need to hit good shots and think about your positioning. This makes it fun and challenging. Also, the 10th hole is 600 yards (or greater) so be prepared to hit a few good shots to make the green.See more..

3.5Buffalo Wild Wings(17 reviews) - Great drinks Tuesday: 11:00 AM - 1:00 AM Bars & Clubs The chicken could be alittle better more tender. But the drinks from the bar were awesome I got a mudslide in the thing was to die for I drank the whole drink See more..
3.5McCusker's Market(17 reviews) - Good food, long waits, over-priced Tuesday: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Speciality & Gift Shops I usually stop here every time I'm in the area. Unfortunately the deli is often very short staffed, which means that often there is a long wait at the deli counter. This time I had a cashier who seemed a tad bit incompetent, making the wait unnecessarily long. The food is good, if you like having the choice of eating unprocessed, organic, whole grain and vegan foods, which I do, so I try to ignore the inconvenience attached to the long wait. The food seems over priced, and I certainly could not eat there on a regular basis, but as previously mentioned, I do stop there very time I'm in the area. I do like their food, otherwise I would not stop there, I just don't like the wait and their prices. They do have a good selection of organic products and 'real' food that attracts me. I ate in their restraurant years ago with a good experience. I wasn't able to eat in the restaurant this time around since I had my dog with me. They provide outside tables to eat your take-out food.See more..

The staff are extremely friendly! It was small but informative. It was clean and the showcases were spaced out to allow for social distancing. My volleyball loving partner was a little disappointed because he wanted the birthplace of volleyball to have more hype but overall it was good. Spent 30 minutes and was able to thoroughly look at everything.See more..
3.5Kidsports(14 reviews) - My grandson loves the bowling alley Spent 1-2 hours Sports Complexes • Playgrounds
Great place for a rainy day. I have only been there during school hours so there have been very few people there. The bowling alley is lots of fun for a 3 year old, but the balls get lost easily, and usually have to get help 3 or 4 times (we always get unlimited bowling) Other than that they have a great climbing/slide thing. Then there are just games that cost you money. We have never done the laser tag as my grandson is too youngSee more..
3.5Showcase Cinema De Lux(14 reviews) - Wow - new leather recliner seats Spent 2-3 hours Movie Theaters I have not been there for along time While it had been a "modern" facility - it has now moved to the next level of comfort with their recliner leather seating and it now assigns seats to these theaters It is unknown if all the theaters have been upgraded to this type of seating EnjoySee more..
3.5Den Rock Park(14 reviews) - A nature oasis off a busy road Parks
The small parking lot will probably accommodate a dozen cars or so, and is located directly across Rt. 114 from the strip shopping center that contains Market Basket. From there several reasonably well marked trails take you past cliffs where you may find technical rock climbers practicing their moves, through woods to a pond and to a bench overlooking the Shawsheen River. In the summer bring bug spray, wear a hat, tuck your pant legs into your socks, and enjoy a walk in a space that looks nothing like the busy commercial area you have just left—good for your soul and good for your soles. 3.5Elmer's Store(13 reviews) - Disappointing Tuesday: 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM Speciality & Gift Shops
Lukewarm coffee and cappuccino, overcooked omelet, pancakes were ok but also a bit over cooked/tough. Why the long wait to order when only two other tables of diners? Friendly waitstaff and nice, comfortable vibe but I’m sorry to see this lovely spot not held to its former high (and delicious) standard.See more..

3.5Regal Independence Mall 14(11 reviews) - RPX was impressive... Spent 2-3 hours Movie Theaters We don't get out to the movies very often. We watched a film on one of the premium RPX screens and it was terrific. The stadium style seating was comfortable. The screen is a massive 3 stories high and the sound was incredible. Ticketing was a little pricey but the experience was worth the price. If you are an occasional movie-goer, the RPX experience is a nice sensorial retreat. The theater is very clean...and that includes the bathrooms. Enjoy the movie...See more..
3.0Great Stone Dam(11 reviews) - this dam deserves better attention and notice Dams this dam was an early industrial triumph... but it is ignored and forgotten by those who pass by daily. It was the first time concrete injections were used to build such a structure and was at its time the largest dam made. Read and discover more about it before you visit... look at the dam from the landing downstream. Go to the heritage centre to find out more. It doesnt look like much now, but it helped make the area the foundation of the industrial revolution, and to revolutionalise industry across America. It was built by the same Storrow family after whom Storrow Drive is named... A once great but now faded Giant... still working hard... reflects Lawrence well really!See more..

We visited on a discounted $5 Tuesday night at 8:30 p.m. The place was quite empty and needed a better cleaning. One of the bathrooms has toilet paper all over the stalls and most toilets were not cleaned. The theater we were in had tissues in our cup holders and cups under the seats. The popcorn, for the first time in any theater I visited, was so salty we couldn't finish it. Prices are still ridiculously high for snacks.See more..

3.0Cedarland Family Fun Center(8 reviews) - Family Fun Center is FUN! Spent 1-2 hours Game & Entertainment Centers
The Cedarland Family Fun Center has 2 mini-golf courses to try. Both are 18 holes and offer a challenge. On the property they also have batting cages, Skywalk Ropes Course and Amazement an indoor action playcenter and a Climbing Wall. Homeplate Concessions offers pizza & ice cream. The night that I came with my husband a few things that we noticed. The equipment needs to be totally thrown out and purchase all new! Clubs are very used & abused. The grounds in general were in pretty decent shape, but the place is showing its age. Golf holes are haggered. Cedarland has been around for at least 15 years and could use a little TLC. With that said, the mini-golf was fun and challenging. We did the The Land of New England themed side. Need to return to try the other side, Fantasy Land. Prices are average to play.See more..

3.5Hopewell Park(8 reviews) - blast Parks The kids enjoy their time here. They have a splash pad, playground, 2 pools and basketball courts.. My only problem is my Grandchild can not go in the large pool. She can swim the length of the pool both ways. She has taken swim lessons for 2.5 years. But she is incapable of pulling herself out of the pool. I think if you can swim properly you should be allowed in the pool. There are 4 ladders to use in case of emergency. That's my only problem. Maybe they can address that.See more..
My husband and I are always looking for interesting antique pieces. We visited the New Bedford Antiques at the Cove on a whim and were pleasantly surprised. First the size is mind boggling. On our first trip we spent 90 minutes there and only made it approximately 1/3 of the way through. On our second trip we were more focused on the area we wanted to peruse and spent an additional 2 hours there selecting a high back oak bed from the 1880s, (4) aqua leather chairs from 1910, and a peacock upholstered desk chair from 1890 or so. The prices were reasonable and offers were accepted. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. The place itself is a treasure trove with items in every nook and cranny! It has become one of our favorite places to browse if we have time as stock rotates quickly.See more..
3.0Souther Tide Mill(8 reviews) - Granite, Lumber and Ship Building History Spent < 1 hour Points of Interest & Landmarks
This attraction is under renovation but you should make the trip! Discovered this in a tourist brochure at the Quincy Historical Society. Got a little directional help from a local police officer who pointed us in the right direction. We walked from downtown, about a mile. There is a new sign and you can see how far they've come with the renovations, although there is still a lot more to do. We visited on a beautiful fall day and sat on the bench and enjoyed the view. We'll re-visit again to see how the work progresses - thankful to the folks of Friends of the Souther Tide Mill to preserve and protect this gem! It'll be quite an experience to see it up and running.See more..

3.0THE BONEYARD BARBECUE & SALOON(7 reviews) - Reopened From Fire, Good Ribs And Wings! Bars & Clubs The Boneyard has recently reopened, so we went to check it out. Inside is about the same, a little more modern, and a little cleaner, Some new lower booths have been added. The foods about the same, up a buck or 2 an item. The ribs and wings were very good, about as good as they get. The service? We went about 3:30 on a Tues, and the bartender was our server. She did a pretty good job, and was friendlier than the former servers typically had been. But as time passed, it got busier. There were maybe 10-12 people at the bar, a few people waiting to take out, and maybe 4 tables with diners. And...she was answering the phone, too. Kid of a lot for one person to do alone. Only one complaint, I noticed the rear kitchen door was wide open with no screen door. I said to my GF "That's crazy, there's nothing to stop the flies from coming in". Sure enough, a fly came to our table to watch us eat. Anyways...it's recommended, but don't expect stellar service.See more..
3.5The Prospector(7 reviews) - Great local bar - best Guinness in Marlborough! Bars & Clubs The Prospector East Saloon is a great bar with great food and drinks. We were in search of the best Guinness in Marlborough on St. Patrick's Day, and we can say without a doubt that the Guinness at the Prospector blew away any of the "Irish" bars in town. Great jukebox, pool tables in the back, great place to hang out.See more..

3.5The Lasting Room(6 reviews) - A night for a drink Tuesday: 11:00 AM - 1:00 AM Bars & Clubs
You never know if you'll like a place if you don't try it. So, decided to go for a drink after dinner and found that this place has the sport bar ambient that is entertaining. They have a variety of draft beer and a wide selection of liquor. The menu is limited to bar food; however, the chicken fingers are great. Note, the kitchen hours are limited. They have a cool deck in the back looking over the Merrimack River and a spacious pay-to-park lot. They are a proud sponsor for the Cystic Fibrosis Walk, which is commendable. Friendly bartenders and crew. Definitely a place to go for a drink and game. Enjoy! See more..
