We stumbled across this place during my granddaughters first travel ball softball tournament of the season. I’ve found golf courses to be great places to visit during these trips since I’m always looking for new adventures in golf and there’s usually something to get to eat. Honestly snack shacks at the tournaments are okay but I personally like the country club crowd. We didn’t play golf since we didn’t have our clubs but........ while checking the place out I asked if there was a menu and a special and low and behold a 1/2 pound burger and fries for five bucks. Okay let’s see it I said and Holy Carne Asada Batman this is the real deal worthy of a road trip back for some golf. The prices are $60.00 on the weekend for 18 & a cart, it was looking real busy Saturday and $55.00 weekday 18 & a cart. They tell me it’s challenging and the back nine is tight. We’ll return to rate the golf later but the bar is nice great service and the burger was a home run. See more..

I threw my husband a surprise party with the help of Linda, the coordinator. She helped me work within my budget and organize the details. Jessica was the manager that helped me that day. She is the one that walked my husband and I down to the party and supervised the wait staff. All of the guests complemented the quality and amount of the food. The brown sugar beef tips were amazing! They gave a huge selection for dessert, also. Towards the end of the party, the owner, Dave, came down to personally find out how the party went. I've played a lot of golf around the country and this place deserves a spot amongst the best courses in the country. I brought 14 of my clients here and they raved about it. Maria was a great hostess and all of the staff were delightful. We played the Pines course which claims to be the longest course in the world at 8325 yards! I played here because of their great senior rates. What I found was a very well maintained golf course that was fun to play. It is crowded so be sure to book a Tee Time. The course personnel were very helpful and friendly. I was playing alone so they found me a compatible playing partner. The course is fairly tight so you need to hit good shots and think about your positioning. This makes it fun and challenging. Also, the 10th hole is 600 yards (or greater) so be prepared to hit a few good shots to make the green.See more..
If you haven't played The National recently, then you're seriously missing out! The National is back...the course is playing hard and fast and the greens are in great shape. The crew has done a fantastic job on the course, and the clubhouse and restaurant staff are the absolute best! The National is back to being the gem of Central MA...it's challenging but fair, scenic and loads of fun! I highly recommend it!See more..

I have driven by this course hundreds of times as I passed it on route 2. I had no idea there was a golf course here until I happened to find it on Google. Just played it and it's a lot of fun. An interesting layout with some challenging holes. I will be back. It's worth noting that some of the fairways are in rough condition due to last year drought but overall the course is fun. Given how inexpensive it is to play I gave it five stars as it's a bargain.See more..

The pro there that teaches the lessons, Isaac Moniz, is wonderful. So helpful , articulate and friendly. Isaac makes it very easy to learn. The driving range is nice and involves a hill. This is a very nice all walking golf course. A few long par 5 and a few short par 3 make Green Harbor fun for the beginner and seasoned veteran alike. With the impressive grounds, lounge and stocked pro shop, you would think you were at an exclusive private course. The staff is extremely helpful as well.See more..

I have been going to The Woods of Westminster for years and I have always had a WONDERFUL experience! I saw someone had written a poor review so I just had to respond. Dan, Paul, Shavon, Doris, Ed, and the crew are all very friendly and professional. They have always treated me very kindly. It is a family run business where the owners know most of the players by name. The cost for 18 holes with a cart AND lunch can't be beat. Depsite the holiday it wasn't too crowded though they were doing a good business by the time we left. They have mini golf, batting cages, a driving range and ice cream. The ice cream was delicious though the flavor selection was not as much as in Richardson's store. Not too pricey either. The mini golf course is well laid out and has some clever bits which made it fun to play. Look for Groupon deals to save $$. Only one staff member was seen but she was competent and efficient. Returned to Butter Brook on 8/21/18 for our third round there this season. No better place to golf on those sweltering hot days where ample shade provides a bit of relief between shots. Nearly aced #3 (see photo) but did knock in the club-length birdie. The course couldn’t be in much better condition absent the usual ball marks left by those who don’t care to fix them. Overly, though, there aren’t too many on the greens. I find the course to be challenging and requiring all kinds shot shapes and club choices to get from tee to green. They have two putting greens with the one off #10 allowing chipping. Driving range is $5.00 for a small warm-up bucket. Tasty food at their snack bar/restaurant with a couch to kick back on while re-playing the good and bad shots of the day while downing a microbrew. Staff is always attentive and friendly. Our group was a mix and ranged from season golfers to people who had never been on a golf course. Tom the owner was wonderful, he greeted us and offered us the use of pull carts free of charge. Tom gave some of our newbies tips at the starting hole. The course is 9 holes and absolutely beautiful. The shorter distance holes are less intimidating for newer golfers but offers seasoned golfers a unique experience to work on their short game. Our group had a blast. The nicest thing to me is that this is a relaxed place. Don't come here looking for dress codes or a fancy club house, you won't find that here. Greens are hard and or lacking in grass. I had gone two years ago and while driving the cart the strap let go my bag bounced out and snapped the head off of my driver. I was not happy but it happens. Flash ahead to last Saturday, my son and I get a newer cart with my literally just picked up repaired driver. Leaving the second tee and again the strap lets go bag bounces out and snaps the head off of my driver again. No money appears to be reinvested into the establishment and has only gotten worse over the years. I mention this to the owner and she says next time she'll give me a white cart and drives away.
