The views were great. Bring a sweatshirt delta temp 15-20F from bottom. The dedication to our men & women who sacrificed so much is moving. It’s worth the drive. (Or the hike) $20 to park without access to the tower was pricey See more..

Mount Holyoke Range State Park image
Beautiful trails and fantastic views but the trails could be better marked. There were a number of confusing points, hard to find markers, faded markers, markers seemingly between 2 trails. There were also a number of confused hikers, including one man who needed to follow us back to the visitors center. There is a good variety of trails, some easy, some challenging with a bit of rock scrambling. Free parking. Porta Pottys available currently. See more..
  7. 4.5 Mount Misery (16 reviews)
    - Enchanted forest

We are so lucky to live close to the Mount Misery Reservation! It was a lifesaver for us during the lockdown. This reservation has it all: a maze of well-marked groomed trails, lovely ponds covered with blossoming lilies, marshy spots, picturesque Sudbury river and the big farm bordering the forest. The parking area is small but you can park at the nearby canoe dock parking lot and walk towards the woods. The forest looks gorgeous during foliage days... All shades of yellow and red reflecting in the dark ponds... Pure magic! See more..
