    This is a great place in the winter to rent good quality and well maintained cross country equipment and ski on the groomed cross country ski trails. There are lots of trails in Great Brook for snowshoers et al, but there are trails groomed ONLY for cross country skiers.     Sportworks is a taste of the old school world where you can go in and ask a question and someone on the staff can answer it for you. The store is a really good mix of items with clothing, ski stuff, sunglasses, Yeti, tennis gear, lacrosse, and so much more. One really interesting thing they do is rentals. For rentals they have both summer and winter gear. For winter they have both ski and snowboard for both short and long term rentals. They also have all the gear for sale as well.
