We only went once and stood in the lobby waiting to speak with a hostess. There was a long line but we waited with the kids long enough to hear crazy loudness coming from the dining area. Have no experience with their food...I'm sure its good because theres always a crowd.See more..

We came in from out of town for a funeral. We needed to see the Stanley Cup play-off game and found a welcoming space at Scotties. Attended an after funeral reception there. The owner went above and beyond accommodating a large group with only a few days notice. HUGE space. I hear St. Patrick's Day is so much fun there. The ribs and wings were very good, about as good as they get. The service? We went about 3:30 on a Tues, and the bartender was our server. She did a pretty good job, and was friendlier than the former servers typically had been. But as time passed, it got busier. There were maybe 10-12 people at the bar, a few people waiting to take out, and maybe 4 tables with diners. And...she was answering the phone, too. Kid of a lot for one person to do alone. Only one complaint, I noticed the rear kitchen door was wide open with no screen door. I said to my GF "That's crazy, there's nothing to stop the flies from coming in". What a great place to keep up the momentum when the local courses are covered in snow. We have been here several times and have enjoyed ourselves each time. There are comfortable chairs to relax in when your not in the simulator, a waitress comes by and will provide the "swing lube" as needed. Today we went with my granddaughter and she had a blast. There is a menu from the Asian Bistro down stairs that was actually very good. How about that TPC Sawgrass and a Pu-Pu platter. It is like the driving range and you get to use all the clubs. The computer looks at swing speed trajectory and ball spin and puts you where your ball would have been. My score is very close to where it would be on the outside course, and they will print out the stats and score card for you if you ask. Well worth the time and money in my opinion. This place is tucked away in an old mill town in Western Massachusetts. Luckily I grew up near there and was able to find this gem. I consider myself a beer connoisseur and I have tried many of the top beers in the US. "In Absentia" is the New England Style IPA that I am raving about, but all of the beers were very good. They have a cool deck in the back looking over the Merrimack River and a spacious pay-to-park lot. They are a proud sponsor for the Cystic Fibrosis Walk, which is commendable. My drink was called Caribbean Adventure and was sweet. Others chose a white pizza, nachos, quesadillas, burgers with different toppings, and a Chicken Sandwich. Gilda's has been around for many many decades and you can immediately tell this by the eclectic interior decor. It is a great example of a MA small town dive bar. There were lots of locals (of all ages), live music, and a very light hearted atmosphere. Service was quick and drinks were cheap. Before going, my friend told me that Gilda (the owner who still bartends) was like a 90 something year old female Elton John -- this sums her up entirely! Ordered pickled chicken fingers and the Cast Away Burger for a total of $19.50. The chicken fingers were moist and tasty and included a honey mustard sauce, and the burger was huge and loaded with bacon, cheese and thousand island dressing, and included a pickle and fries. There is seating on one side of the restaurant and a bar on the other. While this food won’t register stars for healthy cuisine it does merit 5 stars for good quality comfort food. See more..
