Quirky dive bar
Gilda's has been around for many many decades and you can immediately tell this by the eclectic interior decor. It is a great example of a MA small town dive bar. There were lots of locals (of all ages), live music, and a very light hearted atmosphere. Service was quick and drinks were cheap. Before going, my friend told me that Gilda (the owner who still bartends) was like a 90 something year old female Elton John -- this sums her up entirely! It's worth going just to get to see this cool woman! Be warned that it is CASH ONLY.

Chicken wings
Someone told me that they have the best wings around. I don't know because I've never eaten there. Maybe someone who has can verify this.

You must experience this atleast once!
Gilda's is operated by a spunky 94 year old woman who has a creative mind and a lifetime of experience that show's in her oversight of this venue. She is a great promoter of local musicians of all ages; on the night I attended, she had a 17 piece jazz band playing to a full house and as good as any jazz ensemble I have ever witnessed. I heard one patron who was from Kentucky say 'I'd have to pay a lot of money and wear a black tie to attend an event like this back home...' You don't go there for food or special drinks, you go there for the experience!
