Just okay. We're still waiting for the Sturbridge lodges to reopen as this hotel doesn't really offer much in the way of New England atmosphere.

Adequate but antiquated
Enjoyed the Oxtail Tavern, and overlooking the lake in the am Disliked the outdated feel and the need to freshen things up

Disappointed
If it wasn't for the friendly staff and comfy beds it would be a 2. I had gone here years ago for February Vacation and was impressed with the activities for the kids, the pool and the restuarant. I figured with Covid it might not be as exciting but expected more than what we g I drove out here hoping to sit by the indoor pool and let the kids play in the pool to enjoy vacation a bit. I knew the hot tub was closed, bummer but I get it. WELL the while pool area was freezing! I believe I saw that it was 63. Parents were fully clothed sitting uncomfortably on the side while their kids tried to enjoy the water but came out shivering. I inquired if they could raise the temp, even if it wouldn't be warmer until later, knowing that kids would want to go in at night. Nope still freezing. Both restaurants were closed, which I wasn't aware of (don't recall reading it on the website). If I didn't have my dog I would have sought other accommodations.
