Great local bar - best Guinness in Marlborough!
The Prospector East Saloon is a great bar with great food and drinks. We were in search of the best Guinness in Marlborough on St. Patrick's Day, and we can say without a doubt that the Guinness at the Prospector blew away any of the "Irish" bars in town. Great jukebox, pool tables in the back, great place to hang out.

Had lunch there on St. Patty's Day
In all do affection, the Prospector is a bar. They sell lunches which include the best 8 oz. burger with or without cheese, same price. The fresh, never frozen meat is a super under $6.00 item. Also available, steak tips, hot dog all served with chips, no fries. Complimentary homemade Pasta salad, yours for the taking. Bob Kays, the owner is Mr. Marlborough, with his unselfish community work and involvement. Lisa and the rest of the staff make this a fun (barroom) experience. Worth the trip

Avoid at all costs
If you’re looking for a place that over serves you until you’re blackout drunk, and also looking to get into a fist fight in the parking lot this is the go to spot. Lived next to it for about 14 years and every night there’s a screaming match outside and cops get called there just about weekly. I’ve only been a handful of times and every experience was worse than the last.
