The Witch City Walking Tours exceeded our group’s expectations! Please request RYAN as your tour guide as he was well rehearsed, very much knowledgeable about the history of the city and various locations, and frequently checked the understanding/questions of his guests. His passion made the tour 100% more interesting and his punny dad jokes made for a fun time. The tour itself covered information in great detail regarding Salem Witch Trial info., individuals within history in relation to the hysteria, various standing locations, etc. 5 out of 5 stars very well earned! Would not recommend to those not able/fit to walk and stop without seating as it’s a quick moving tour, only stopping with enough time to discuss historical info./stories, and continue moving throughout the city on roughly a 1 mile walk. - Memorable Segway Tour!!!

This was our first time taking a segway tour of Boston, although we have been on 4 tours in other cities, this one was a great adventure through the streets and bike lanes. We felt very immersed in the city. We chose the 2 hour tour which we would recommend as it covers a wide view of the city. Thompson was our guide and he did a wonderful job guiding us safely through the city and shared his extensive knowledge of the various neighborhoods as well as the historical sights. He gave us breaks and stopped to take pictures. We were fortunate to be the only participants in our tour, so we had a very personal experience! We would definitely do another tour with Boston Segway Tours when visiting Boston! See more..

Our tour guide, Jeff, was great! The tour was two hours but his storytelling made time fly. You could tell he has a passion for the true history of the Salem Witch Trials and the city itself. We booked the 5pm tour which was perfect as the crowds on Essex were insane at this time so it gave us something to do while they died down a little bit. See more..

Michael is an excellent guy. He has this voice that encapsulates you into the whole experience. Very informative. I especially liked the Houdini story. Would definitely go again. Even though the city is crowded, that’s to be expected, he was patient with waiting to let the others catch up. See more..

    The Revolutionary Story Tour image
Absolutely excellent tour and guide. Mike took us from the early revolutionary days through the most iconic moments in the War to the conclusion (guess what, Britain lost). Seeing the actual places where these events took place was amazing. I‘ve never had so much fun learning about history! See more..
  6. 5.0 Hub Town Tours (520 reviews)
    - Great tour, great guide!

The private (affordable for our group of 8!) two hour welcome tour of the Freedom Trail was the perfect way to see these sites. Ted is of course knowledgeable when it comes to Boston, the Freedom Trail and history, but additionally he really took our comfort into consideration on a hot morning in the city, guiding us to shaded areas and seating before telling us about a site. He is very engaging, gives an excellent tour with the background of issues at each site, and it feels like hanging out with a friend rather than someone you just met or a dry historian. The time flew by and the walking was easy. Everyone in our group, even the teens, agreed a tour really was the best way to see the Freedom Trail and we all would highly recommend Ted and Hub Town Tours. See more..

    - Want a real spin through Boston? Gotta go Mobsters and Lobsters!

This was easily my favorite tourist excursion I have ever been a part of! Tom is a real character who brings Boston to life is a truly unique way. I sat there with wonder in my eyes and a cold drink in my hand (thank you Shawna) through the entire tour and have told everyone who's asked about my trip to Boston about this tour in detail. I would highly recommend Mobsters and Lobsters, it's an unforgettable experience! See more..
  8. 4.5 Liberty Ride (298 reviews)
    - The place from which the shot was heard around the world.
Sunday: 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM Historical & Heritage Tours
    Liberty Ride image
If you are looking for a guided historical tour of Lexington and Concord, you will love the one we took in June 2007 with our 13 year old granddaughter. The tour is given by Liberty Ride. We rode back and forth several times on their small comfortable buses. Each of the guides we encountered was very knowledgeable, eager and well able to relate the stories and past events while en route and when deboarding and walking to various sites. You can get on and off at various points if you wish to spend more time there and then take the next tour bus in either direction. We didn’t have a car on our trip to Boston, but when we called a Liberty Ride Coordinator, she gave us easy, fast and accurate directions to get to Lexington on public transportation. If you haven’t been to Lexington and Concord, don’t miss this trip. The Wolffs from Highland Park, Illinois. See more..
