We actually went to Pickering Wharf several times during our stay. There are several restaurants to choose from, stores we bought teas and spices, tarot reading, crafts, a sailing experience and much more. I recommend that you check on line and book some of the fun things to do in advance so you don't miss anything! See more..

Great Walk atop the Hurricane Barrier with sweeping ocean views. Not crowded. Easy parking on Gifford Street. We were rewarded when we found that the walkway ended at Cisco Brewery where we could have beer and snacks before walking back. See more..

    Mattapoisett Harbor image
A beautiful, historic harbor in an old Southeastern Massachusetts town famous for shipbuilding in the good old days. Mattapoisett harbor is afloat with yachts, sailboats and etc. in the summer month's, there are several docks, landings, etc. alongside the harbor providing ability to launch large sailing vessels and cruisers. The town is awash with historic homes going back to the Revolutionary War period, there is much to see in Mattapoisett. Several beaches line the harbor as well. See more..

We used to go to "record hops" here on Fridays during the summer when we were teenagers during the 1950's and there was adult square dancing on Saturdays. The original "bandstand" was torn down and replaced by the cupola one sees on the TripAdvisor site. Nice venue for wedding photos. See more..
