Coming from an area where the malls seems to be just about dead this place was fantastic. We ate dinner and walked around for a bit. I don't think I saw one open store front. So many places to look around and just walk. I'm not sure we even hit the entire mall. You can't beat a good Wegman's either. Even parking was manageable, but, it was 6:00 on a Tuesday evening.See more..

4.0The Assembly Row(138 reviews) - Shopping Plus Sunday: 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM Spent More than 3 hours Shopping Malls
I visited Assembly Row yesterday for the first time. It is a shopping mecca of both discount and high end boutiques. There is a Christmas Tree Shop and Marshalls for the budget conscious and designer stores for those wanting a label. There are many intriguing eateries including a number of italian ones. You will find the iconic Mike's Pastry and other name coffee shops. There are hotels and a convenient Orange Line T stop. You will find a bit of on-street parking, big parking lots and garage parking with the first 3 hours free. (No ticket for garage and you must give the same credit card on arrival and departure to pay. There is much outdoor seating, some prettily secluded by plantings. There is a huge green area where some sport (maybe pickleball) was going on. A bowling alley/nightclub is on the fringes of Assembly Row and Encore Casino is not too far off. This is a great open air destination for all your needs.See more..

We had a lot of fun shopping up and down Essex St. It’s super crowded in October, but it was festive and I’m glad we did it once. I’m hoping we come back off-season and can shop without all the lines and people someday. Lots of unique shops and we didn’t get to see them all since standing in line ate up a good chunk of the day.See more..

4.0Solomon Pond Mall(35 reviews) - Not a lot of selection Spent 2-3 hours Shopping Malls
I have been frequenting this mall since it opened and was full of promise. Throughout the years though it has declined significantly. The movie theater saves this from being a total disaster. It is obviously catered towards teenagers as a hangout place more than mall for all ages with all stores being about the same thing. H&M, A&E, Aeropostale, Hollister, etc. It’s pretty much all clothes stores. The food court has a great selection of food. I will also say it is an excellent cheap place to bring your kids to have a fun time. They have a pretty decent arcade, a kids play area in the center of the mall, and a Merry Go Round at the food court. I would say unless you are going for a certain item there a much better malls in the area with a wider selection of stores.See more..

The stay was friendly and the place was clean! We will be back for sure! See more..
4.0Bow Market(9 reviews) - A Market Dinner Shopping Malls
After reading about the Bow Market in the Washington Post, we decided to head to Somerville for dinner. It was an easy Green Line T ride from Bay Back and then a 10 or 15 minute walk, which was delightful on a nice evening. We made reservations on the Market's website (cost $6) and our table was ready for us on time. You primarily order on your phone after scanning a QR code. This was fine, but we found the system hard to use, as in order to track your order, you have to create an account. You can also order at the shops. Once our food arrived (it took a while), it was delicious. We had pizza from the pizza shop and falafel from the Middle Eastern restaurant. Also ordered drinks from the Beach Bar, which arrived very quickly. Overall, I would go back as the food was good, but I'm not sure I would go out of my way again to head out that far.See more..

4.0Northgate Shopping Center(4 reviews) - Has a Market Basket, CVS, and Burlington Coat Factory Shopping Malls
Years ago, this Mall was the only game in town. It sported a Zayre, Lerners, Fretter, Toys R Us, Friendlys, and Almy's (for those who are as old as me can remember). Today, it has a Market Basket (which is great), a CVS (which is not as big as some of the other CVSs), and a Burlington Coat Factory. It has an Edible Arrangement, which is convenient if you have to pick up a gift. The Mall also has a Taco Bell and McDonald's (in the front of the mall), which is good for a quick snack. They also have a Price Rite grocery store, but I'm not a fan (but perhaps you might like shopping here). I just prefer Market Basket.See more..

4.0Rowley Market Place(1 review) - MALL WITH GOOD RESOURCES FOR VACATIONERS & A THAI RESTAURANT Spent 1-2 hours Shopping Malls For a relatively small town, Rowley has a lot of malls. Shopping opportunities abound. Rowley Market Place is the largest of Rowley’s malls. The anchor store is Market Basket, the regional super market with the best prices and a traveler’s best bet for buying vacation groceries and snacks. There is also a Bank of America (ATM) and Georgetown Bank for needed cash, plus CVS for any pharmacy items one might need during vacation. Shopping opportunities include TJ Maxx, Olympia Sports, and The Children’s Orchard. Backstage Hair Salon and Buddahful Souls Yoga provide services. Verizon, John Anton’s Cleaners, and Post Road Framers are also present. During my most-recent visit, I shopped at Olympia Sports during their Inventory Reduction Sale which featured a limited selection of mostly T-shirts and athletic shoes. Then, I also shopped at TJ Maxx where I got clothing. It was on clearance at $3.00. I also shopped for shoes. Rowley Market Place is good resource for vacationers in the Rowley-Newburyport-Byfield area. Royal Orchid Fine Thai Cuisine is on the periphery of the mall. i rate Rowley Market Place at 4.0. 4.0Village Mall(1 review) - AN UNEXPECTED FIND Shopping Malls
Looking for the Stateline Shopping Center in Salem to shop at ALDI, I’d overshot the mark and crossed into Massachusetts. The first good place to turn around safely was at the Village Mall. It was an unexpected find. The first place that caught my eye was Ellie’s Farmhouse in the bright white building on the end of this L-shaped strip mall. The white paint made it stand out from the other businesses. Next was Dollar Tree, then China Buffet, two salons, Maya Gourmet, and a branch of Merrimack Valley Credit Union, followed by Jo-Ann Fabrics at the other end. There was also a Texas Roadhouse and a Harrows Chicken Pies location. I did go into Ellie’s Farmhouse. I looked over the restaurant and went into the Grab & Go section for a cup of decaf coffee to go. I will return to this mall for dining at Ellie’s Farmhouse and other restaurants, plus the two stores and Maya Gourmet which appeared to be a bakery. With multiple dining options, service businesses, and two stores for shopping of interest to travelers, I rate the Village Mall at 4.0 If you found this review helpful, please click THANK below.See more..
4.0Port Plaza Shopping Center(1 review) - LARGE SHOPPING CENTER WITH A VARIETY OF BUSINESSES Spent 1-2 hours Shopping Malls
Port Plaza is quite large. The company that owns it has it divided into three sections: East Shops, North Shops, and West Shops. The East Shops section has several businesses. Three would be of potential interest to travelers: Shaw’s Supermarket and possibly Heally’s Wine & Spirits and/or Port Plaza Cleaners. The North Shops have several businesses of interest to travelers. Most are restaurants: Ohana Kitchen which is known for Hawaiian-inspired poke bowls, McDonald’s, and Dunkin’. The one retail store is Hyman’s / Pennyworth’s which bills itself as having famous brands at affordable prices. I’ve shopped there. Some brands are Nike, Timberland, UGG, Carhartt, Crocs, New Balance, SAS, Stride Rite, Vans, Clarks, and more. The everyday prices are only slight discounts. The sales offer 15%. 35%, or more off. There’s also a Bank of America ATM there. The West Shops section has a Children’s Orchard which sells gently-used children’s clothing and gear, a Supercuts, and a nail salon. Restaurants include China Wok and Hana Japan. I’ve been to Port Plaza many times to Shaw’s Supermarket, McDonald’s, and Hyman’s / Pennyworth’s. The shopping options are limited, but there are five dining options at several different price points. On my most-recent visit, I spent most of my time in the North Shops section at Hyman’s / Pennyworth’s and some time at the East Shops section at Shaw’s Supermarket. For the quality of merchandise at Hyman’s / Pennyworth’s and Children’s Orchard and the variety of restaurants, Port Plaza makes it to a 4.0 rating from me. The reason for the delay in submitting this review was due to a months-long loss of my ability to post photos with my reviews. If you found this review useful, please click HELPFUL.See more..
