Huge Antique "Playground"

My husband and I are always looking for interesting antique pieces. We visited the New Bedford Antiques at the Cove on a whim and were pleasantly surprised. First the size is mind boggling. On our first trip we spent 90 minutes there and only made it approximately 1/3 of the way through. On our second trip we were more focused on the area we wanted to peruse and spent an additional 2 hours there selecting a high back oak bed from the 1880s, (4) aqua leather chairs from 1910, and a peacock upholstered desk chair from 1890 or so. The prices were reasonable and offers were accepted. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. The place itself is a treasure trove with items in every nook and cranny! It has become one of our favorite places to browse if we have time as stock rotates quickly.

A place to spend a rainy day and feel good about it.
I find all kinds of unique items and collectables that I want. My wife loves the vintage items and I love old oil paintings of sailing ships etc..

    This place is huge!!! Seriously...
This is not your usual "antiques" shop. I'd consider it more of a flea market of sorts with mostly vintage items. There are easily thousands of items here to peruse. Plan on spending hours walking up and down aisles of eclectic memorabilia. If you're looking for vintage furniture it's worth the trip! Lots of beautiful dressers, coffee tables, hutches, vanities, dishes, books, jewelry, artwork, albums, toys, etc. If it's not as big as a football field, it's close.
