Fitchburg Public Library, Massachusetts, United States

3.5 (14 reviews) Spent Ranking #9 in Fitchburg Libraries

Nice little library

This public library boasts the first children's library in it's own building built in 1950. The adult library is a great example of mid-century modernism. Both designed by Koch. Lots of local history and information.

Always friendly and requests are ready
The library has a childrens side and the regular library area. The childrens' side has activities per calendar, attraction passes for free or little money admission, book sales, toddler toys for entertainment and a daily search and find. The teen-adult area of the library has various reading areas with chairs and tables, available computers to use the internet and complete homework, printing and copying is allowed for a small fee, dvd's and videos are available to borrow as well as audio books, and the main lobby has a 3D printer where you can request a 3D printed item for a small fee. The library website is very informative and helpful where you can request any item that is available to borrow, book the attraction passes and follow the events that are happening on the updated calendar.

    Older modern looking building
With the days of the internet, and Kindle, libraries are falling out of favor. This is a good one, the information desk has helpful staff, and they can order any book you need. My wife gets emails a few times a month from them, she belongs to a few book clubs, and the library gets them in for the meetings. Has a great children's library,
